Ravinder Pandit (born 10 August 1959) is a former Indian cricketer who played first-class cricket for Jammu and Kashmir from 1978 to 1987.
Pandit had one outstanding match,in the Ranji Trophy in 1986-87. Captaining Jammu and Kashmir against Services,he took 5 for 44 and 8 for 33 with his medium-paced bowling,and scored 158 opening the batting,to lead Jammu and Kashmir to a nine-wicket victory. [1] His 8 for 33 is still the best innings bowling analysis for Jammu and Kashmir,and his 13 for 77 is still the best match analysis. [2] [3] In his second-last first-class match a year later,still captaining the team,he scored 30 and 119 to avert defeat in the match against Haryana. [4]
In 2006 he was one of 23 former Jammu and Kashmir players to be included in a pension scheme run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. [5]

Dev is the only player in the history of cricket to have taken more than 400 wickets and scored more than 5,000 runs in Test.
Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri is an Indian cricket commentator,former professional cricketer and head coach of the India national cricket team. As a player,he played for the India national cricket team between 1981 and 1992 in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. Although he started his career as a left arm spin bowler,he later transformed into a batting all-rounder. Shastri was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He won the C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at the Indian cricket team annual award show NAMAN in 2024.
Bishan Singh Bedi was an Indian cricketer who was primarily a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He played Test cricket for India from 1966 to 1979 and formed part of the famous Indian spin quartet. He played a total of 67 Tests and took 266 wickets. He also captained the national side in 22 Test matches. Bedi wore a colourful patka and was always known for his outspoken and forthright views on cricketing matters. He was awarded the Padma Shri award in 1970 and the C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004.
DSP Joginder Sharma is an Indian police officer and former professional cricketer who currently serves as a DSP of police in the Haryana Police. He has made sporadic appearances for the Indian cricket team. He also played for Chennai Super Kings from 2008 to 2012. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 2007 inaugural ICC T20 World Cup,where in the final,he took the winning wicket of Misbah-ul-Haq. During his time with Chennai in the IPL,he was a part of the team that won the 2010 and 2011 tournaments.

Amarjit Kaypee is an Indian former cricketer. He was primarily a right-handed batsman,and he held the record for the most runs scored in the Ranji Trophy,India's premier domestic first-class cricket competition for a number of years before Amol Muzumdar took the record in 2009. However,despite his success,he was never selected for the Indian national team,an unfortunate feat he shares with the man who broke his record.
Parvez Rasool is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. A right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler,Rasool is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir team and a regular member of India A. He was bought for ₹95 lakh (US$110,000) by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction. Rasool was the second cricketer after Mithun Manhas from Jammu and Kashmir to have played in The IPL and the first from the state to play for the Indian National Team in ODI's and T20I's. He played only 1 T20I and 1 ODI in his international career.
The 1962–63 Ranji Trophy was the 29th season of the Ranji Trophy. Bombay won the title defeating Rajasthan in the final. The tournament was severely impacted by the Chinese Aggression of 1962. Services and Railways pulled out of the tournament after playing one game each. Being so close to the action Assam and Odisha had to pull out of the tournament. When the ceasefire was ordered,the invaders were only a few kilometres away from Tezpur,which was the headquarters of Assam cricket. Bihar played one match and then closed their season as most of their players were employed in firms and factories which were pressed into defence production.

Malhotra Chamanlal,also known as Chaman Lal Malhotra or just Chamanlal was an Indian cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1952 to 1970. In a minor match in Patiala in 1956-57 he made 502 not out.
