Rebel Moon Rising is a PC game produced by Theodore Beale (now known as Vox Day) made by Beale's Fenris Wolf studio and published by GT Interactive. [1] [2] A PlayStation version was also announced, [3] [4] but GT Interactive decided to put the PlayStation version on hold until sales figures for the PC version came in, and later cancelled this version. [5] In the game, the Moon has been colonized, and due to political conflicts, the Lunar colonies are rebelling against the United Nations. The player is on the side of the Lunar alliance, fighting against United Nation forces. The game later takes a twist, when an alien species is discovered.
This game is the sequel to Rebel Moon. With the same basis as Rising, the player takes on 27 levels in the original Rebel Moon, quite a few more levels than Rising. Rebel Moon was only released in a bonus disk with the Creative Labs hardware "3D BLASTER PCI". The series was also planned to have a third game, titled Rebel Moon Revolution, but it was cancelled by GT Interactive.[ citation needed ] Due to insufficient communications about the cancellation, Fenris Wolf instated a lawsuit against GT Interactive.[ citation needed ]
The PC shareware version of Rebel Moon Rising is included on disc 2 of the EIDOS Interactive game Blood , copyright 1997.[ citation needed ]
A novelization of Rebel Moon, written by Bruce Bethke and Vox Day (the latter being a pseudonym of one of the game's developers), was published in 1996. [6]
Computer Gaming World described Rebel Moon Rising as technologically innovative and "highly creative", and declared that its escort missions broke new ground in 3D shooter mission design. [7]
The game was commercially unsuccessful, according to Day, because the release of Quake at about the same time made gaming consumers look for 3D games, rather than the "2.5D" of Rebel Moon Rising. [8]

Duke Nukem Forever is a 2011 first-person shooter game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It is the fourth main installment in the Duke Nukem series and the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D (1996). Players control Duke Nukem as he comes out of retirement to battle an alien invasion. Like its predecessor, Duke Nukem Forever features pop culture references, toilet humor, and adult content.
XCOM is a science fiction video game franchise featuring an elite international organization tasked with countering alien invasions of Earth. The series began with the strategy video game X-COM: UFO Defense created by Julian Gollop's Mythos Games and MicroProse in 1994. The original lineup by MicroProse included six published and at least two canceled games, as well as two novels. The X-COM series, in particular its original entry, achieved a sizable cult following and has influenced many other video games; including the creation of a number of clones, spiritual successors, and unofficial remakes.
Battlezone is a first-person shooter tank combat game released for arcades in November 1980 by Atari, Inc. The player controls a tank which is attacked by other tanks and missiles. Using a small radar scanner along with the terrain window, the player can locate enemies and obstacles around them in the barren landscape. Its innovative use of 3D graphics made it a huge hit, with approximately 15,000 cabinets sold.
Lunar Lander is a genre of video games loosely based on the 1969 landing of the Apollo Lunar Module on the Moon. In Lunar Lander games, players generally control a spacecraft as it falls toward the surface of the Moon or other astronomical body, using thrusters to slow the ship's descent and control its horizontal motion to reach a safe landing area. Crashing into obstacles, hitting the surface at too high a velocity, or running out of fuel all result in failure. In some games in the genre, the ship's orientation must be adjusted as well as its horizontal and vertical velocities.

Type-Moon is a Japanese video game company, best known for their visual novels, co-founded by author Kinoko Nasu and illustrator Takashi Takeuchi. It is also known under the name Notes Co., Ltd. for its publishing and corporate operations, as it is the company official name, while Type-Moon is a brand name as a homage to the original doujin group. Star Wars: Rebel Assault is a rail shooter video game developed and published by LucasArts for DOS, Macintosh, Sega CD and 3DO Interactive Multiplayer systems, set in the Star Wars universe. Diggles: The Myth of Fenris is a game released by Innonics in Europe on September 27, 2001, and by Strategy First in North America on March 19, 2002. The game is a side-scrolling strategy game which is based on a 3D-engine. You are guiding your dwarves, called "diggles" in the English version, "Wiggles" in the German version and "Gnomy" in the Russian version. The dwarves can manufacture tools, weapons, rooms and other advanced manufacturing shops. You can set up your workshops and rooms in the caves that your dwarves have been digging. Your mission is to dig down and solve quests which contribute to your global quest, which is to chain Fenris, the fiery dog of Odin. You encounter other clans and creatures on the way, some hostile, some not.

Operation Flashpoint is a series of military simulation games. The first game, Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and its expansions Operation Flashpoint: Red Hammer and Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, was developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio. Babel Rising is a video game developed by Mando Productions and produced by Michel Bams and Olivier Fontenay. An arcade game with short levels, the 2D version of the game was first published in 2009 and in 3D in 2012. Babel Rising 3D was published with Xbox achievements for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 in October 2013.
Theodore Robert Beale, commonly known as Vox Day, is an American activist and writer. He has been described as a far-right white supremacist, a misogynist, and part of the alt-right. The Wall Street Journal described him as "the most despised man in science fiction".
