Red Carpet was a showbiz television magazine produced by Nova TV. It was a popular programme in Croatia, with reporters and journalists that reported on and local showbiz information, as well as stories about famous people, fashion and various current events. [1] [2]
Red Carpet also aired sarcastic episodes about Croatian celebrities known as Bijele udovice (English: The White Widows). [3]
The editor and host was Daniel Delale, and co-hosts were Ana Stunić and Ivana Nanut. In 2010, the show aired on Sundays at 11 pm.
The production ceased in 2012. [4]
Nova TV is a Croatian free-to-air television network launched on 28 May 2000. It was the first commercial television network with national concession in the country. From 2004 until 2018 it was fully owned by the Central European Media Enterprises. In 2018, Direct Media purchased Nova TV and Doma TV.

Currently, there is no life imprisonment in Croatia. The Criminal Code prescribes long-time imprisonment - 20 to 50 years - for the most severe criminal offenses. The order of battle of the Croatian Special Police Units in 1991–1995 included up to 30 individual special forces units subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior. The special police was created around the Ministry of the Interior's existing airborne special forces unit following an open revolt of the Croatian Serbs against the Government of Croatia in August 1990. It further developed with the increasing involvement of the Yugoslav People's Army in the conflict, supporting the Croatian Serbs. The conflict escalated into the Croatian War of Independence in 1991. The special police took part in the first clashes of the war in Pakrac and at the Plitvice Lakes. As Croatia had no army, the 3,000-strong special forces became the country's most effective fighting force.
