Story Supernova Music Talents was a Croatian singing reality competition television series, the first Croatian version of the American Idol . [1] The series ran for one season in 2003 on Nova TV. [2] It was co-produced with Story, a Croatian tabloid, hence the name.

Legacy

Saša Lozar, Tin Samardžić and Damir Kedžo formed Saša, Tin i Kedžo, the first Croatian boy band, during their time on the show. The band released a commercially successful single titled 365. [3] Lozar and Kedžo remained well-know names in Croatian pop music; Kedžo won Dora 2020 and was set to represent Croatia at Eurovision Song Contest 2020, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. [4]

Rafael Dropulić, the winner of Story Supernova, went on to win the first season of reality series Farma in 2008. [5] Valentina Gyerek went on to compete in The Voice Hrvatska in 2016. [6] Other contestants that remained well-known in music include Natali Dizdar, Nera Stipičević, and Ivana Radovniković. [7]

Subsequent editions

Although Story Supernova did not run beyond its initial season, Nova TV went on to air Hrvatski Idol , a new edition of the series, for two seasons between 2004 and 2005.

RTL went on to air its own version of Idol: Star Search Croatia ran from 2009 to 2011, and Superstar premiered in 2023.

He also performed in musicals.

Saša Lozar is a Croatian singer. Lozar rose to fame in 2003 after finishing as runner-up on the first season of Story Supernova Music Talents. In late 2003, Lozar formed the boy band Saša, Tin i Kedžo together with Damir Kedžo and Tin Samardžić. Lozar began to adopt a more mature image as an artist with the release of his debut solo album 1 Dan (2007).

Natali Dizdar, also known as Natalie Dizdar, is a Croatian pop singer.

Rafael Dropulić, best known by his nickname Rafo, is a Croatian reality show winner and pop singer.

Ivana Radovniković is a Croatian pop singer.

The second season of Farma, a Croatian reality television series based on The Farm, premiered on 1 March 2009 on Nova TV. The winner of the second season was Mario Mlinarić who won 324,000 kuna from the prize.

The third season of Farma, a Croatian reality television series based on The Farm, started on 21 March 2010 and finished on 18 June 2010. Nikolina Pišek and Mia Kovačić served as hosts with Davor Dretar Drele returning after a one-season break as a co-host. The winner Kristijan Kiki Rahimovski received 269.000 kuna from the prize.

The fourth season of the Croatian reality television series Farma, titled Farma: Novi Početak, premiered on 6 September 2015 on Nova TV. It is the first season since 2010 and also first season to not feature celebrities. Mia Kovačić returns as host and Josip Tučkorić - Joža returnes as mentor. Davor Dretar Drele, former co-host, is replaced by Dušan Bučan. This is also the first season to not feature the studio a reportage and live duels.
