On Thursday 7 March 2013 at 7:00pm GMT, Graham Norton began his challenge - To Host The Longest Chat Show Ever for Comic Relief. Whilst doing this Norton broke the Guinness World Record for 'The Most Questions Asked on a TV Chat Show'. In the process he raised £1,022,982 for Comic Relief. Guests for the evening included Sir Terry Wogan, Russell Tovey, Jimmy Carr, Martin Freeman, Keith Lemon, Ronnie Corbett and Warwick Davis. [9]
In March 2013, Comic Relief Does Glee Club returned to BBC One, which lets a group perform music in three varieties (choir, musical theatre and contemporary). This programme was presented by Sam Nixon, Mark Rhodes and Naomi Wilkinson.
The fifth series of Let's Dance for Comic Relief was broadcast between 16 February and 9 March 2013. It was won by Antony Cotton with Jodie Prenger in 2nd place.
Between 10 and 15 March, Miranda Hart was given a challenge, one week to complete five challenges, in five cities across England. The first day, Miranda attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the most armpits waxed in three minutes. The second day, Miranda took part in a Strictly Extravaganza, in which she attempted to dance ballroom with Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Pasha Kovalev. The third day saw Miranda, singing with her new girlband 'Onesie Direction'. The fourth day saw Miranda take part in a dog show. The fifth and final day saw Miranda plan a wedding in one day. Miranda's Mad March raised £1,140,615 for Comic Relief.
On Thursday 14 March 2013 at 20:00 GMT, BBC One aired a documentary called Comic Relief: Through Hell and High Water, the programme followed six celebrities as they took part in the Zambezi River challenge. Jack Dee, Dara Ó Briain, Melanie C, Chelsee Healey, Greg James and Phillips Idowu. The challenge was a bid to raise £1,000,000 for Comic Relief. The total which was announced on 15 March 2013, totalled to £1,196,000 from this challenge alone.
Nick Grimshaw presented the final slot of the 2013 telethon in which he was joined by various celebrity guests.
A series of celebrities took part in Dares. These included Jessie J who had her hair shaved off for Comic Relief. [10]

Comic Relief is a British charity, founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Sir Lenny Henry in response to the 1983-1985 famine in Ethiopia. The concept of Comic Relief was to get British comedians to make the public laugh, while raising money to help people around the world and in the United Kingdom. A new CEO, Samir Patel, was announced in January 2021.
Davina Lucy Pascale McCall is an English television presenter. She was the presenter of the reality show Big Brother during its run on Channel 4 between 2000 and 2010. She hosted Channel 4's Streetmate, The Million Pound Drop (2010–2015), Five Minutes to a Fortune (2013), and The Jump (2014–2017), as well as ITV's The Biggest Loser (2011–2012), Long Lost Family (2011–present), and This Time Next Year (2016–2019). McCall was also a regular co-presenter of the Comic Relief annual telethons from 2005 to 2015.

Miranda Katherine Hart Dyke is an English actress, comedian and writer. Following drama training at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Hart began writing material for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and making appearances in BBC sitcoms, including Hyperdrive (2006–2007) and Not Going Out (2006–2009).
Sport Relief was a biennial charity event from Comic Relief, in association with BBC Sport, established in 2002.
Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is a spin-off of the original Fame Academy show where celebrities students sing as students of the Academy. The programme was launched in 2003 to help raise money for the charities supported by Comic Relief, with the final of the show occurring on Red Nose Day.

Let's Sing and Dance, formerly known as Let's Dance, is a British television programme shown on BBC One, featuring celebrities performing famous dance routines to raise money for the charities Comic Relief and Sport Relief. The programme was presented by Steve Jones and Alex Jones, who replaced previous host Claudia Winkleman in 2011. In the first series, Anton du Beke was a regular judge, appearing alongside two guest panellists, but in the second series onwards, three guest judges were on the panel each week.

Red Nose Day 2019 was a fundraising event organised by Comic Relief, broadcast live from BBC Elstree Centre on BBC One and BBC Two from the evening of 15 March 2019 to early the following morning. The event was broadcast from 7:00 pm to 2:30 am, and raised £63,548,668 for charity.
The Big Night In is a British telethon that was broadcast by BBC One from 7 pm to 10 pm on 23 April 2020 to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the first joint initiative between two BBC telethon charities, Children in Need and Comic Relief. By the end of the programme, over £27.3 million had been raised. The British government promised to match all public donations if the minimum of £20 million was reached.
