Reinhardt Hamman (born 20 February 1990) is a Paralympian Track and field athlete from South Africa competing mainly in category F38 throwing events. [1]
Hamman took up athletics at the age of 13 at Vista Nova Primary School in Rondebosch. In 2009 he quit the sport following his disappointment at not qualifying for the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing. [2] He returned to the sport in 2013, and was selected for the South African team o compete at the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships in Lyon. He took part in the javelin throw and shot put, finishing fifth in the shot, but threw a distance of 45.72 metres in the javelin to take the gold medal. [2] Two years later he competed at the 2015 World Championships in Doha, winning gold in the javelin and silver in the shot put. [2]
Hamman was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1990. He has cerebral palsy. [2]
The 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships was held in Christchurch, New Zealand from January 21 to 30, 2011. Athletes with a disability competed, and the Championships was a qualifying event for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Aled Siôn Davies is a Welsh Paralympian athlete competing mainly in category F42 throwing events. In 2012 he became the world record holder of the F42 shot put and in the 2012 Summer Paralympics he took the bronze medal in shot put and gold in the discus. In 2013 Davies took the World Championship gold in both the shot put and discus in Lyon. He won double gold in his home country at the 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships in the shot put and discus. Kyron Duke is a powerlifter and Paralympian track and field athlete from Wales, UK competing in category F41 throwing events. Duke has represented Wales in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in powerlifting. In 2012 he qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics in javelin and shot put.
The 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships was the biggest track and field competition for athletes with a disability since the 2012 Summer Paralympics. It was held in Lyon, France, and lasted from 20 to 28 July. Around 1,100 athletes competed, from 94 different countries. The event was held in the Stade du Rhône located at the Parc de Parilly in Vénissieux, in Lyon Metropolis.
Holly Neill is a parasport track and field athlete from England competing in category F41 throwing events. Neill has represented Great Britain in the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships in the discus throw, finishing third. She competes in the Les Autres Paralympic category as an athlete with dwarfism.
Birgit Kober is a German Paralympic athlete. She initially competed in F34 seated throwing events, and from 2011-2013 she became the reigning champion at European, World and Paralympic level in both shot put and javelin in her class. At the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London, she broke the world record in both her events. Following changes to the IPC rules for seated throws in 2014, she chose to compete in a standing position as an F36 athlete. She won the F36 shot put at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games with a Paralympic record throw. As of April 2017 she is World Record holder in the Women's F36 shot put, a distance of 11.52 m set in July 2016.
