The Shangri-Las were an American pop girl group of the 1960s. Between 1964 and 1966, they charted with several hits documenting teen tragedies and melodramas. They remain known for their hits "Remember ", "Give Him a Great Big Kiss", and in particular, "Leader of the Pack", which went to #1 in the US in late 1964.
Kim Wilde is an English pop singer, author, DJ and television presenter. She first saw success in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America", which reached number two in the UK. In 1983, she received the Brit Award for Best British Female solo artist. In 1986, she had a UK number two hit with a reworked version of the Supremes' song "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. Between 1981 and 1996, she had 25 singles reach the Top 50 of the UK singles chart. Her other hits include "Chequered Love" (1981), "You Came" (1988) and "Never Trust a Stranger" (1988). In 2003, she collaborated with Nena on the song "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime", which topped the Dutch charts.
Bryan Adams is the self-titled debut solo studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, after previously being the lead vocalist of Canadian hard rock band Sweeney Todd, released on 12 February 1980 by A&M Records. While the album did not gain attention in the US, "Hidin' From Love" reached #64 and "Give Me Your Love" reached #91 on Canada's RPM 100 Singles chart.
R U Still Down? is the sixth and 2nd Posthumous studio album by American rapper, 2Pac, released on November 25, 1997, and the first to be finished without his creative input. Tupac left a large body of work behind, this was the first release from his mother's imprint, Amaru Entertainment, set up to control 2Pac's posthumous releases. The album contains previously unreleased material from the time period of his albums Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., Thug Life: Volume 1 and Me Against the World. The album title was named after several handwritten tracklist by 2Pac from 1993 and 1994 that featured both unreleased songs and material that would be issued on "Me Against The World" & "Thug Life Vol. 1". Interscope also planned a 1995 version of "R U Still Down" album that also included a different tracklisting. However, this version was never released due to 2Pac signing to Death Row Records.
Joyce Melissa "Meli'sa" Morgan is an American R&B/Soul singer–songwriter. Morgan had a string of urban contemporary hits starting the mid–1980s through the mid–1990s. Morgan most notable songs includes her cover version of Prince's "Do Me, Baby" (1985), "Do You Still Love Me" (1986) and "Still in Love With You" (1992). Born in Queens, New York, Morgan got her start in the music industry while singing with a church gospel choir called the Starlets of Corona. Morgan cites Chaka Khan as a major influence.
Something to Remember is a compilation album by American singer Madonna, released by Maverick Records on November 3, 1995. The album was conceived after a controversial period in Madonna's career, when many critics had speculated that her career had declined. It compiles ballads spanning over a decade of her career, including a reworked version of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" and three new songs: "You'll See", "One More Chance" and a cover of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You". The album also features previously released singles that had never been included on a Madonna album, "I'll Remember" and "This Used to Be My Playground", and altogether provided a softer image for the singer during a critical period in her career.

I Remember Yesterday is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Donna Summer. It was released on May 13, 1977, seven months after the release of her previous album. Like her previous three albums, it was a concept album, this time seeing Summer combining the recent disco sound with various sounds of the past. I Remember Yesterday includes the singles "Can't We Just Sit Down ", "I Feel Love", the title track, "Love's Unkind" and "Back in Love Again". "I Feel Love" and "Love's Unkind" proved to be the album's most popular and enduring hits, the former of which came to be one of Summer's signature songs.
"I'll Remember April" is a popular song and jazz standard about a romantic relationship ending. The lyric uses the seasons of the year metaphorically to illustrate the growth and death of a romance. The lyric also uses the ideas of the hours in a day and the flames of a fire to illustrate a relationship growing stronger and subsequently losing strength. The song has been described as a song that makes use of nostalgia, with music written by Gene de Paul, and lyrics by Patricia Johnston and Don Raye. It made its debut in the 1942 Abbott and Costello comedy Ride 'Em Cowboy, being sung by Dick Foran.
"It's Easy to Remember " is a popular song written by Richard Rodgers with lyrics by Lorenz Hart, published in 1935, written for the 1935 film Mississippi starring Bing Crosby and W.C. Fields. Crosby introduced the song in the film and his recording for Decca Records made on February 21, 1935 with Georgie Stoll and his Orchestra and Rhythmettes and Three Shades of Blue topped the charts of the day. Crosby recorded the song again in 1954 for his album Bing: A Musical Autobiography.
"Love's Unkind" is a song by American singer and songwriter Donna Summer from her album, I Remember Yesterday, which combined modern disco beats with sounds of previous decades. "Love's Unkind" has stories of high school crushes and love triangles. It became one of her biggest hits in the UK, peaking at number three, while it reached number 32 in the Netherlands. Though never released as a single in the USA, it topped the dance chart as part of the I Remember Yesterday album, as at that time entire albums could count as one entry on that particular chart.

A Day to Remember is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida, founded in the spring of 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. In the liner notes for the album, executive producer Jay Landers writes that "Johnny combed through his personal album collection and chose 12 songs sure to evoke faces and places from those golden days when 45s were stacked on the record player and local deejays played songs you could actually hum the melody to."
