Renee Duprel (1966) is a former American professional track cyclist. She competed at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships from 1989 to 1991, placing second in 1990, [1] and she placed second in the Pan American Games in 1987. [2] In 1993, she was named as a member of the Senior National Cycling Team. [3]

[5] Though she originally had wanted to participate in basketball and gymnastics, she began cycling when her father told her it would be good training for basketball, and then he and her brother "used to drop [her] on the hills and [rush her]." [6] She disliked cycling until her father signed both siblings up for track racing classes, where she would race against boys as there were no other girls. When racing during her childhood at the Marymoor Velodrome, she and her brother would nearly get kicked out of races for arguing beforehand. [4] She was also still often the only girl competing. [4] In 1988, she moved from Washington to the East coast and the Lehigh County Velodrome where there were more women to train against. [7]
During the racing seasons, Duprel would train in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania. [5] Duprel dated fellow track cyclist and sprinter Ken Carpenter. [5]
After retiring from professional racing, Duprel began to coach children and adults in cycling. [8] [9]

Keirin – literally "racing cycle" – is a form of motor-paced cycle racing in which track cyclists sprint for victory following a speed-controlled start behind a motorized or non-motorized pacer. It was developed in Japan around 1948 for gambling purposes and became an official event at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Manchester Velodrome is an indoor Olympic-standard cycle-racing track in Manchester, England, which opened in 1994. Part of the National Cycling Centre, the facility has been home to British Cycling since 1994 and the five time Tour de France-winning UCI ProTeam Team Sky since it formed in 2009. The Manchester Velodrome has been cited as the major catalyst for Britain's successes in track and road cycling and has been described by Cycling Weekly as the "beating heart of British Cycling’s ascension to the top of world cycling".
Anna Maree Devenish Meares is an Australian retired track cyclist. She currently resides in Adelaide in South Australia where the Australian Institute of Sport's Track Cycling program has its headquarters at the Adelaide Super-Drome.
Connie Carpenter-Phinney is an American retired racing cyclist and speed skater who won four medals in World Cycling Championship competitions in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She also won the gold medal in the cycling road race at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as twelve U.S. national championships. She remains the youngest American woman to compete at the Winter Olympics.
Victoria Louise Pendleton, is a British jockey and former track cyclist who specialised in the sprint, team sprint and keirin disciplines. She is a former Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth champion. With two Olympic gold medals and one silver, Pendleton is one of Great Britain's most successful female Olympians.
Martin Wayne Nothstein is an American former professional road bicycle racer and track cyclist. He is a three-time world champion in track events and an Olympic gold and silver medalist. Nothstein ran unsuccessfully as the Republican Party nominee for the 2018 United States House of Representatives election in Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district and Pennsylvania's 15th district special election.
Natallia Tsylinskaya is an international cyclist, specialising in track sprinting. A dominant force in particular in the 500m time trial between 2000 and 2006, Tsylinskaya is an eight time World Champion, and an Olympic bronze medalist.
François "Franck" Pervis is a French track cyclist. He is a former junior world champion in the team sprint and twice European under 23 champion, as well as a seven-time world champion and a holder of two world records. In 2014 he became the first track cyclist to win three individual world titles at one championship, in the keirin, 1 km and sprint.
Shanaze Danielle Reade is a British former bicycle motocross (BMX) racer and track cyclist whose prime competitive years began in 2002. She has won the UCI BMX World Championships three times. Reade is the daughter of a Jamaican father and an Irish mother.

Sandie Clair is a French professional racing cyclist and bobsledder. She won her first title in 2005 in the national junior sprint championship. A month later she came third in the junior world 500m championship.
The VELO Sports Center is a velodrome located in Carson, California, United States. It is currently the only cycling track of its kind located in the United States. Formerly known as the ADT Event Center or LA Velodrome, it opened in 2004 on the California State University, Dominguez Hills Campus, part of the Dignity Health Sports Park complex. The facility is owned and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).
Frank Louis Kramer (1880-1958) was an American gold medal cyclist. He won 16 consecutive national championships from 1901 to 1916. He was inducted into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame in 1988.
Hayley Louise Jones is a Welsh racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Women's Team WNT–Rotor Pro Cycling. From Port Talbot, Jones was a member of the record breaking, gold medal winning, British team pursuit squad at the Juniors world championships in 2013.

Dannielle Jade Khan is an English racing cyclist, who currently rides for Belgian amateur team ILLI Bikes. She won the sprint and 500m TT events at the Juniors world championships in 2013, as well as the silver medal in the Keirin.
The Valley Preferred Cycling Center (VPCC), also known as the Lehigh Valley Velodrome or simply T-Town, is a professional cycling center and a velodrome located in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. It serves as the Lehigh Valley's main track cycling stadium. The velodrome is operated by a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization Velodrome Fund., Inc that promotes competitive cycling, youth fitness, and adult wellness activities for the Lehigh Valley. Over the years, the velodrome hosted various cycling championships. VPCC is the home of the World Series of Bicycling. The Velodrome annually hosts the USA Cycling Elite Nationals qualifying event. The center also features a Cycling Hall of Fame. Over the past 40 years, the center introduced tens of thousands of people to cycling, producing over 140 national champions, seven world champions, and three Olympic medalist. Marty Nothstein, a three-time world champion in track events and an Olympic gold and silver medalist, is no longer the executive director of Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
Jaïr Tjon En Fa is a Surinamese male track cyclist. He began cycling at the age of 13 in 2007 in his home country Suriname. He competed in the sprint event at the 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships and also at the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Men's sprint where he reached the 1/16th Final. At the 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Men's sprint he reached the 1/8th Final. He participated at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico and won bronze in the Elite Sprint. He participated in the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he was ranked 9th in the Men's Sprint and 6th in the Men's Keirin.
Julie Robyn Speight is an Australian former cyclist, eight time National champion, and Australia's first female Olympic and Commonwealth Games track cyclist, competing in the women's sprint event at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics and winning a silver medal in the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games. At the time, she was described as 'a class above any other female rider in the country.'
