Reset is the name of an extended play (EP) album by Mutemath. Reset is the band's first release. It was released September 28, 2004 by a division of Warner Music Group. The album went out of print in the US in 2006, but was re-released in the UK on July 23, 2007.

Mutemath American alternative rock band

Mutemath is an American alternative rock band from New Orleans that formed in 2002. The band currently only consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Paul Meany, but is subject to add future musicians. They draw heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers, as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar.

Rhodes piano Electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes

The Rhodes piano is an electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes, which became popular in the 1970s. The instrument generates sound like a conventional piano with keys and hammers, but instead of strings, the hammers strike thin metal tines, which are amplified via an electromagnetic pickup plugged into an external keyboard amplifier and speaker.

The bass guitar is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, except with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the 1960s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music.

Blue Meanies were an American ska-core band founded in Carbondale, Illinois, at Southern Illinois University, in 1989. They debuted in 1991 with the release of their first single, "Grandma Shampoo" c/w "Dickory Dock". This single would be the start of a lengthy discography and revolving lineup including Jay Vance, a great bass player. Although their personnel was continually changing, The Meanies' sound would remain consistent as they released the albums Peace Love Groove (1991), Pave The World (1992), Kiss Your Ass Goodbye (1995), Full Throttle (1997), and the live Sonic Documentation Of Exhibition And Banter (1998). Soon afterwards the band ceased touring, though they never issued an official break up statement.

Earthsuit was a New Orleans-based Christian rock band formed in 1995. The band consisted of guitarist Dave Rumsey, keyboardist/vocalist Paul Meany, bassist Roy Mitchell, drummer David "Hutch" Hutchison, and vocalist Adam LaClave. Earthsuit's sound was primarily rock, but also possessed strong hip-hop, electronica, reggae, soul, and experimental elements.

Darren King American musician

It is the first album without original guitarist Greg Hill. Bassist Roy Mitchell Cardenas filled in on guitar duties during writing and recording. The album was recorded at Paul Meany's house in New Orleans with no involvement by record company executives. In various interviews band members stated that the process of creating the album was very collaborative with all members playing guitar.

Play Dead is the fifth album from New Orleans group Mutemath. The album was released on September 8, 2017. It is the last studio album featuring Darren King who departed the band on August 8, 2017.
