"The Future" is a song from Prince's 1989 Batman soundtrack, and the final single released from the album. The single was not the album version, but a remixed version by S'Express' Mark Moore and William Orbit. "The Future" was released as a single only in Europe. The standard European 7-inch single was backed with the album version of "Electric Chair", but on the maxi-single, "Electric Chair" was also remixed by Moore and Orbit. Moore and Orbit's remix of "The Future" is house-inspired, whereas Prince's original is minimalistic. Moore and Orbit substituted a muted, pulsating beat in place of the original elements of Prince's song. Moore and Orbit also removed Prince's original bassline, synthline, and snippets of sampled dialogue. This would be the last time Orbit would work with Prince for several years. In most countries, neither "The Future" nor its B-side were a hit on the pop or dance floors. The single peaked at #9 in the Dutch charts.
"Policy of Truth" is a song by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 7 May 1990 as the third single from their seventh studio album, Violator (1990). "Love Is Gone" is a song by French house DJ David Guetta and American singer Chris Willis. It is the second single from Guetta's third studio album, Pop Life. The single was released in France in June 2007 and in the UK in August 2007. The song reached No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming his second Top 10 hit. The song also received crossover airplay on top 40 radio stations in the United States, leading it to reach No. 98 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song has been remixed by its co-producers Frédéric Riesterer & Joachim Garraud, Eddie Thoneick, Fuzzy Hair and Amo & Navas. The Fred Rister & Joachim Garraud remix was the first David Guetta production to use a guitar sample which was later used in the songs "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas and "Gettin' Over". It was co-produced by Claudio Zennaro and Fulvio Zafret, and achieved great success in many European countries. "Eins, Zwei, Polizei" reached number-one in Austria, Germany and Italy. It achieved success in many countries, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland where it reached the top 10. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Love Sees No Colour" peaked at number 10. German band Bass Bumpers participated in several remixes of the song.

"Offshore" is the debut single by British electronic music artist Chicane, released on 9 December 1996 from his debut album, Far from the Maddening Crowds (1997). The song reached number five in the United States on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart, number 12 in Ireland and number 14 in the United Kingdom. A bootleg by Australian DJ Anthony Pappa was given an official release in 1997 titled "Offshore '97". This version peaked at number 17 in the UK.
"Summer Is Crazy" is a song by Italian singer Alexia, released as the second single from her debut album, Fan Club (1997). Co-written by Alexia, it reached number one on the Italian singles chart. This was the first of two singles to feature radio jingles of the track on the CD. The song would also be featured as a B-side on the UK editions of "Gimme Love" in 1998, although due to a misprint, writing credits went only to Alexia. The song, which mainly consists of a looped sample from Harvey Mason's 1979 song "Groovin' You", reached number nine in the United Kingdom and number one on the RPM Dance/Urban chart in Canada. The title quotes Frankie Knuckles, who had described house music as being "disco's revenge".
"That Look" is a 1996 song by American house-music group De'Lacy featuring vocals by lead vocalist Rainie Lassiter. Kevin Hedge and Josh Milan wrote it which was published by Warner Chappell Music Ltd., and produced by Blaze. It was a big hit in clubs and charted at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart, but on the UK Dance Chart, it was even more successful reaching number two. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 41 and in the US, it peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
"Give Me the Light" is a 1996 song recorded by British, Italy based Eurodance artist Ice MC, featuring vocals by Italian singer Valentina Ducros. Produced by German Eurodance project Masterboy, it was released as the first single from Ice MC's fourth album, Dreadatour (1996). It was a moderate hit in Europe, peaking within the Top 30 in Austria, Finland, France and Italy. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 51 in July 1996. "Kaleidoscope Skies" is a 1997 song by German electronic music duo Jam & Spoon featuring American singer Plavka, released as the first single from their second album, Kaleidoscope (1997). It charted in several European territories, reaching number two in Hungary and number seven in Poland. Additionally, it was a Top 20 hit in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Italy. In the UK, it peaked at number 48, while it reached number 33 in Scotland. The picture on the cover of the single is a reproduction of a painting by Abdul Mati and was used in 1970 for the album Hooteroll?, performed by Howard Wales and Jerry Garcia. A music video was also produced to promote the single.
