Rich Scangarello (born April 15, 1972) is an American football coach who was most recently the quarterbacks coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously a quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers. He has also spent time as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos and an assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles as well as the Kentucky Wildcats. From 1998 to 1999, Scangarello served as a graduate assistant at UC Davis. He also served as a graduate assistant at Idaho in 2000. In 2001, Scangarello served as offensive coordinator at Carleton. From 2002 to 2003, Scangarello returned to UC Davis as their quarterbacks coach. In 2004, he returned to UC Davis as wide receivers coach. Scangarello was promoted to co-offensive coordinator in 2008
In 2009, Scangarello was hired by the Oakland Raiders as an offensive quality control coach. He replaced Mark Costagliola.
In 2010, Scangarello was hired by Millsaps as their assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach.
In 2012, Scangarello was hired by Northern Arizona as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
In 2015, Scangarello was hired by the Atlanta Falcons as an offensive quality control coach.
In 2016, Scangarello was hired by Wagner as their offensive coordinator.
In 2017, Scangarello was hired by the San Francisco 49ers as their quarterbacks coach.
On January 16, 2019, Scangarello was hired by the Denver Broncos as their offensive coordinator. On January 12, 2020, Scangarello was fired by head coach Vic Fangio after Denver finished last in several offensive categories.
On February 5, 2020, Scangarello was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a senior offensive assistant. [3]
Scangarello was named the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 2021. [4]
On February 25, 2022, it was reported that Scangarello would be hired as offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky. He was fired on November 29, 2022. [5]
On February 23, 2024, Scangarello was hired by the Las Vegas Raiders as their quarterbacks coach under head coach Antonio Pierce. [6] He was fired on November 3, after the Raiders lost their Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. [7]
Michael Edward Shanahan is an American football coach, best known as the head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2008. During his fourteen seasons with the Broncos, he led the team to two consecutive Super Bowl victories in XXXII and XXXIII; along with being the first Super Bowl championships in team history, they were the seventh team to win consecutive Super Bowls in NFL history. His head coaching career spanned a total of twenty seasons and also included stints with the Los Angeles Raiders and Washington Redskins. He is the father of San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Harold Wade Phillips is an American football coach who is currently the head coach of the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL). He has served as head coach of the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Roughnecks. He has also served as interim head coach for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and the Houston Texans. Additionally, Phillips has long been considered to be among the best defensive coordinators in the NFL. In his long career, he has served as defensive coordinator in eight separate stints with seven different franchises. Multiple players under Phillips' system have won Defensive Player of the Year: Reggie White, Bryce Paup, Bruce Smith, J. J. Watt and Aaron Donald. Others under Phillips have won Defensive Rookie of the Year: Mike Croel and Shawne Merriman. In Phillips' lone Super Bowl victory, a defensive player would be named Super Bowl MVP: Von Miller.
Norval Eugene Turner is an American professional football coach who is a senior advisor for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). An offensive assistant for the majority of his coaching career, Turner was the Dallas Cowboys' offensive coordinator during their consecutive Super Bowl victories in Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII.
Joshua Thomas McDaniels is an American former professional football coach. He began his National Football League (NFL) career in 2001 with the New England Patriots, where he served as the offensive coordinator for 14 non-consecutive seasons. During McDaniels' first stint as offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2008, New England set the season record for points scored and won 16 of their 16 regular season games in 2007. In his second stint from 2012 to 2021, the Patriots won three Super Bowl titles. McDaniels was also among the Patriots personnel to be present for all six of their titles during the Brady–Belichick era.

He is also the uncle of Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave.
Gregory Fishbeck Knapp was an American professional football coach in the National Football League (NFL). Anthony Ray Lynn is an American professional football coach and former running back who is the run game coordinator and running backs coach for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played running back for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and in the NFL for six seasons, primarily with the Denver Broncos where he won Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII. Lynn entered coaching after retiring as a player in 2000, later serving as head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers from 2017 to 2020.
Patrick Carl Shurmur is an American football coach who serves as the offensive coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to joining the staff at Colorado, he most recently served as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 2020 to 2021. A 32-year coaching veteran, Shurmur has 21 seasons of NFL experience, including the last 11 years as a head coach or offensive coordinator.
