The University of Amsterdam is a public research university located in Amsterdam,Netherlands. Established in 1632 by municipal authorities,it is the fourth-oldest academic institution in the Netherlands still in operation.

He was also for some time a member of the European Commission of Human Rights and a civil servant at the Netherlands ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Fernand Collin Prize for Law was named after Fernand Collin. It is awarded to a scientist who makes a significant Dutch-language contribution to law in Belgium. In 1972 it was awarded to an economist. Beginning in 2023,the prize is awarded for Dutch-language works in even years,and for English-language works in odd years.
Alfred Vierling is a Dutch politician and activist. In the 1980s he was active as a politician in the far-right Centre Party and Centre Democrats. In the 1990s he briefly served as a municipal councillor for the latter and was co-founder of the nationalist Dutch Block. In the 2000s and later he was an activist,writer and video maker and he was involved with and collaborated with groups and individuals,some of which were white nationalists.

She left the House of Representatives due to health issues and was replaced by Henk Krol. Since 28 March 2017 Baay-Timmerman is a member of the Senate.

An election of the Members of the European Parliament from the Netherlands was held on 23 May 2019. It is the ninth time the elections have been held for the European elections in the Netherlands. Jan Smit is a Dutch paleontologist. He was affiliated with the Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 2003 to 2013 as a professor of event stratigraphy,studying rapid changes in the geological record related to mass extinctions.
Jacques (Sjaak) Neefjes is a Dutch scientist who made breakthroughs in several research disciplines such as immunology,cell biology,chemistry,cancer biology,microbiology,and epidemiology. He is a professor at the Leiden University Medical Center. In 2020 he was one of four winners of the Spinoza Prize.
Adriaan Hendrik"Ad"Stouthamer was a Dutch microbiologist. He was a professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from the 1960s to 1996. His research was mostly focused on the metabolism of microbiological cultures.

M.J.A. "Thijs" Reuten is a Dutch politician of the Labour Party (PvdA). He began his career as a policy advisor of the party's parliamentary group in the House of Representatives and was a member of the Amsterdam municipal council in the years 2002–07. He then served for two terms as a district alderman in Amsterdam-Oost with a focus on housing and the economy. Starting in 2018,Reuten worked as an independent consultant and as head of policy at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). He was appointed to the European Parliament in April 2021 after the resignation of Kati Piri.
Jacobus Willibrordus"Jaap"Zwemmer is a Dutch fiscal jurist. He was a professor of tax law at the University of Amsterdam between 1980 and 2006. He also served as interim rector magnificus of the university in 2007. Zwemmer furthermore was a part time tax judge and wrote fiscal opinions. After his retirement he dealth with academic integrity matters. He additionally spent spells on the supervisory boards of various medical institutions.
