Rigi (Persian : ريگي‎, also Romanized as Rīgī; also known as Vigī)^[1] is a village in Mahvelat-e Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Mahvelat County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script, which itself evolved from the Aramaic alphabet.

Mahvelat-e Jonubi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Mahvelat County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,794, in 2,041 families. The rural district has 48 villages. The capital of the rural district is the village of Mehneh.

The Central District of Mahvelat County is a district (bakhsh) in Mahvelat County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 31,211, in 8,039 families. The District has one city: Feyzabad. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Howmeh Rural District and Mahvelat-e Jonubi Rural District.
