Rikkoi Brathwaite (born 13 February 1999) is a sprinter from the British Virgin Islands. He is national champion and national record holder over 100 metres. [1]
From Tortola, Brathwaite ran for the University of Indiana and finished second at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships over 60 metres running a personal best time of 6.52 seconds in Birmingham, Alabama. [2]
He set a new British Virgins Islands national record of 10.09 seconds for the 100 metres in early August 2023 in Tennessee. [3] [4] He competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest where he ran 10.18 seconds for the 100 metres and missed qualifying from the heats as a fastest loser by 0.02 seconds. [5]
He reached the semi-finals of the 60 metres at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow in March 2024. [6]
He lowered his 100 metres personal best in Clermont, Florida to 10.03 seconds in April 2024. [7] He made his Diamond League debut at the 2024 Prefontaine Classic in the 100 metres in Eugene, Oregon, finishing sixth in 10.19 seconds. [8] [9]
The Prefontaine Classic is a track and field meet held at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Organized by the Oregon Track Club, it was previously one of the IAAF Grand Prix events, and is now part of the Diamond League. The meet is one of the few international competitions to host the imperial distances of the Mile run and 2 Mile run.

He won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and gold medals for the 3000 metres at the 2016 and 2018 World Indoor Championships. Noah Lyles is an American professional track and field sprinter competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic 200 m bronze medalist and a six-time World champion, having won the 200 m and 4 × 100 m at the 2019 World Championships, the 200 m at the 2022 World Championships, and the 100 m, 200 m, and 4 × 100 m events at the 2023 World Championships, becoming the first man since Usain Bolt in 2015 to complete the sprint treble at a World Championships. At the 2022 Championships, Lyles also earned a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m relay. He holds personal bests of 9.83 seconds for the 100 m and 19.31 seconds for the 200 m, the latter being an American record making him the third fastest on the respective world all-time list.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner. Ingebrigtsen is the current world record holder for the indoor 1500 metres and the 2000 metres, and holds the world best time over the two mile distance. Ingebrigtsen is a two-time World champion, winning gold medals in the 5000 metres in 2022 and 2023 and a four-time European champion, winning gold medals in the 1500 m and 5000 m in 2018 and 2022. He also won a gold medal in the 1500 m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting an Olympic and European record.
