Rise and Fall is the first album by American neo-psychedelic rock band the Warlocks. [4] [5] It was released by Bomp! Records in 2001.
The album has been compared to early Pink Floyd [2] and also to the work of the Velvet Underground and more recent space rock acts, such as Spacemen 3.[ citation needed ]
The UK version of the album features a different track selection and ordering, modified to include tracks from the Warlocks' previous self-titled EP. The album's experimental structure, opening on the US version with a fourteen-minute instrumental and featuring a number of rough jams, would surprise and divide critics, both being remarked on as a highlight,[ citation needed ] while also being panned as not translating well from live performance to the studio.[ citation needed ]
The Fall were an English post-punk group, formed in 1976 in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. They underwent many line-up changes, with vocalist and founder Mark E. Smith as the only constant member. The Fall's long-term musicians included drummers Paul Hanley and Karl Burns; guitarists Marc Riley, Craig Scanlon and Brix Smith; and bassist Steve Hanley, whose melodic, circular bass lines are widely credited with shaping the band's sound from early 1980s albums such as Hex Enduction Hour to the late 1990s.
Suicidal Tendencies are an American crossover thrash band formed in 1980 in Venice, California by vocalist Mike Muir, who is the only remaining original member of the band. Along with D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, and Stormtroopers of Death, they are often credited as one of "the fathers of crossover thrash". Their current lineup includes Muir, guitarists Dean Pleasants and Ben Weinman, bassist Ra Díaz and drummer Dave Lombardo. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is an American rock band from San Francisco, California. The group originally consisted of Peter Hayes, Robert Levon Been, and Nick Jago (drums). Jago departed the band in 2008 and was subsequently replaced by Leah Shapiro.

The Fuzztones are an American garage rock revival band formed in 1980. Founded by singer-guitarist Rudi Protrudi in New York City, the band has gone through several member changes but is currently active in Europe. Dismissed by some critics and listeners as a "bar band" or unoriginal, they maintained a strong fan base in New York, in Europe, and in Los Angeles. Rudi Protrudi moved to Los Angeles in 1987, after the breakup of the original band, to organize a new Fuzztones, consisting of Jordan Tarlow, John "Speediejohn" Carlucci, (Bass) Jason Savall, & "Mad" Mike Czekaj on drums. This lineup bears the distinction of being the only 1980's garage rock revival band to secure a major label record deal, when they signed to RCA.
FF5 is an American Christian rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band formed in 2005 by brothers Solomon "Soul Glow Activatur" Olds, Joshua "Fatty" Olds, and Jacob "Crouton" Olds along with their two friends, Nathan "Nadaddy" Currin and Brad "20 Cent" Allen, who was later replaced by Derek "Chapstique" Mount. Band of Skulls are an English rock band from Southampton, consisting of Russell Marsden, Emma Richardson, and Matt Hayward 2004-2016 (drums). The group formed after meeting in college, although Marsden and Hayward have been friends since high school. The Morning After Girls are an Australian neo-psychedelia band. The group was originally formed in Melbourne, Victoria around 2003 by founding members Sacha Lucashenko and Martin B. Sleeman, who relocated the group to New York City in 2008. Its American lineup includes Alexander White, EJ Hagen, and John Brodeur (drums). They have since returned to Australia and are now based in Melbourne to complete their third album in 2017.
T. Rex were an English rock band, formed in 1967 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan. The band was initially called Tyrannosaurus Rex, and released four psychedelic folk albums under this name. In 1969, Bolan began to change the band's style towards electric rock, and shortened their name to T. Rex the following year. This development culminated in 1970's "Ride a White Swan", and the group soon became pioneers of the glam rock movement.
