The school opened in August 2011 and was headed by Mrs. Evelyn Murphy (1948-2012), a T.L. Hanna graduate. [1] In 2012, The South Carolina Annual Report Card (see external links for more information) gave the school an absolute rating of Good and a growth rating of excellent. After a year and a half as Principal, Evelyn Murphy would pass away in December 2012. Today, there sits a bench and a outdoor reading center in her honor. Kathy Dobbins served as principal at Robert Anderson for a few years and retired in 2017. [2] By August 2023 the principal was Brian Williams, a former principal of New Prospect Elementary School. [3] For the 2025-2026 school year, the school will be headed by a new principal, with Brian Williams becoming the principal of another elementary school.
