"Rockferry" is the debut single by Welsh singer Duffy, written by Duffy and Bernard Butler. It is the first track on the album of the same name. The music video for Rockferry was filmed in Porthmadog.
"Rockferry" was available for download on 19 November 2007 and was released on 3 December 2007 on limited edition 7" vinyl, with only 500 copies. A free download of the track was originally available via a link published on 15 October 2006 in Observer Music Monthly . The cover and music video was taken in a shoot at the Ffestiniog Railway in Porthmadog, which was renamed for the occasion. The B-side "Oh Boy" was written by Richard J. Parfitt. Duffy cites "Oh Boy" as the song which meant she was discovered. [1]
The song charted at number 45 on the UK Singles Chart, as well as charting at number 35 on the Swiss Singles Chart. [2]
The track received widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone commented that she's "singing with great sincerity." [3] AllMusic called it a "grand, sweeping ballad." [4] MusicOMH.com said that she "carries the song unbelievably well, pouring drama and emotion into the lyrics, building up quite masterfully to the song's climax." The black and white album art and video for the title track were shot by directors Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull, on and around the Ffestiniog Railway in Porthmadog, which was renamed 'Rockferry' for the occasion. [10]

"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" is a song by American rock band Fall Out Boy and the second single from their commercially successful third studio album Infinity on High (2007). "Dog Days Are Over" is a song by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine from their debut album Lungs (2009). It was originally scheduled for release on 24 November 2008 through Moshi Moshi Records in the UK as the album's second single, but was later pushed back for release on 1 December 2008. A day later on 2 December 2008 the single was released in download and seven-inch vinyl format through IAMSOUND Records in the US. The B-side to the single is a cover of "You Got the Love" by The Source featuring Candi Staton which later was confirmed as a track on their debut album and the band's fifth single. The single reached the top 30 in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Endlessly is the second studio album by Welsh singer Duffy. It was released in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2010 by A&M Records and in the United States on 7 December 2010 by Mercury Records. Duffy worked almost exclusively with Albert Hammond Snr. on the album, with all but one of the album's songs being written by Hammond and Duffy. Four of the songs received additional or co-production by Stuart Price. Music is also provided by The Roots and Questlove. Musically, the album follows the soul stylings of her first album Rockferry (2008), although Duffy drew inspiration from a variety of other genres, including disco and soft rock, and was compared to pop singers such as Kylie Minogue. It has been said that Duffy wrote the album in three weeks, although recording sessions lasted between 2009 and 2010.
"Dancing Queen" is a Korean song by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was released on December 21, 2012, as the lead single from their fourth Korean studio album, I Got a Boy (2013). Recorded in 2008, the song was initially scheduled to be released as the title track for the group's second studio album. Nevertheless, the plan was withdrawn, and "Gee" and the titular EP was released instead as their first extended play.
