Rohit Tokas (born 1 August 1993) [1] is an Indian boxer who competes in Welterweight category. He participated in the 2022 Commonwealth Games where he won a bronze medal in Men's welterweight category. [2] [3] Rohit hails from an urban village in Delhi by the name Munirka which lies in the South West District of Delhi. Rohit's father Preet Singh Tokas, was himself a wrestler.[ citation needed ]

Coaching career

Tokas founded the Tokas boxing club. MMA fighter Anshul Jubli learnt boxing under him in this club. Later Jubli won the Road to UFC Season 1 tournament and got signed to Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is worlds' leading MMA promotion. [4]

Road to UFC Season 1 is the 2022 cycle of Road to UFC, a mixed martial arts event series in which top Asian MMA prospects compete to win contracts with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). It features four divisions—flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight—each for which eight fighters compete in a "win-and-advance" tournament format. The Matrix Fight Night (MFN) is an Indian professional mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion Company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is owned and operated by Hindi film actor Tiger Shroff, his mother Ayesha Shroff and his sister Krishna Shroff. The promotion was founded in 2019.
