Rok Perko (born June 10, 1985) [1] is a former Slovenian alpine ski racer. He was born in Kranj, and specialized in downhill, super-G and combined.
His best career result was a 2nd place in World Cup downhill in Val Gardena, Italy. In 2010 Winter Olympics – Men's downhill he took 14th place. He also competed in three different FIS Alpine World Ski Championships where he didn't have any bigger success.

Downhill is a form of alpine skiing competition. Whereas the other alpine skiing events emphasize turning and technique, downhill emphasizes "the six components of technique, courage, speed, risk, physical condition and judgement", according to the FIS "International Ski Competition Rules (ICR)". Speeds of up to 130 km/h (81 mph) are common in international competition. Athletes must have an aerodynamically efficient tuck position to minimize drag and increase speed.

Brian Stemmle is a Canadian retired skier who competed primarily in the downhill and Super-G disciplines. He was a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team for 14 years and was inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame in 2002. He appeared at four Winter Olympic Games from 1988 through 1998.
For the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, a total of thirteen sports venues were used. Val-d'Isère has been part of the Alpine Skiing World Cup since the late 1960s while Tignes served as host of the first Freestyle World Ski Championships in 1986. Most of the venues used were constructed between 1987 and mid 1990 with the test events taking place in late 1990 and early 1991. It was the last Winter Olympics with an outdoor speed skating rink which led to weather issues for three of the ten events. Three cross-country skiing events were run in snowstorms while the men's 20 km biathlon was found to be 0.563 km (0.350 mi) too short. The downhill events in alpine skiing were criticized for being too steep. Freestyle skiing made its official debut at these games with the men's winner being stormed after his win while the women's winner won her event in a snow storm. La Plagne hosted the skeleton World Championships in 1993 while Val-d'Isère hosted the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2009.
Slovenia competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, from 7 to 23 February 2014. Sixty-six competitors were chosen to participate, in eight sports. For the first time since the country's independence, the Slovenia men's national ice hockey team qualified for the Olympic tournament.
Ester Ledecká is a Czech snowboarder and alpine skier. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Ledecká won gold medals in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding, becoming the first person to win two gold medals at the same Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment. She was the second woman to win Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the first Czech to win the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding at the FIS Snowboard World Cup.

Willis Feasey is a New Zealand alpine ski racer. He competed at the 2013 World Championships in Schladming, AUT, in the downhill.
Corinne Suter is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. She made her World Cup debut at age 17 in November 2011, won two medals at the World Championships in 2019, and won World Cup season titles in downhill and super-G in 2020. She won gold in the women's Downhill at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Ryan Cochran-Siegle is an American World Cup alpine ski racer and a member of the Skiing Cochrans family. Cochran-Siegle specializes in giant slalom and super-G, and also races in downhill and combined. He made his World Cup debut on 26 November 2011. He debuted at the Winter Olympics in 2018, and in 2022, he won a silver medal in Super-G at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
