Ron Adair (born 2 June 1931) is a Northern Irish-born Australian former association footballer.

Playing career

Club career

Adair played his junior football for Victoria Park in Western Australia before joining North Perth in 1952. After playing two season for North Perth he joined Maccabeans for a season before transferring to Azzurri. In 1956 Adair played for North Shore in New South Wales before returning to WA to play for Swan Athletic. [2]

State career

Adair played 23 times for Western Australia, captaining the state 11 times. [2] [3]

International career

Adair played three full international matches for the Australia national association football team between 1954 and 1958, scoring one goal. [4] Adair captained Australia in two B-internationals - against Rapid Vienna in 1955 and Heart of Midlothian in 1959. [3]

Sydney Campbell "Sammy" Clarke was an Australian rules footballer who played for Claremont in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) between 1933 and 1941. He won the Sandover Medal in his first two seasons in the competition, making him the first player to win the award in consecutive years. Clarke won a premiership with Claremont in 1939, and also represented Western Australia in eight interstate games. He served as a pilot with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) during World War II, but was killed in action in New Guinea towards the end of the war.

Gregory John Brehaut was an Australian rules football player and coach who played with the Perth Football Club in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) and the Woodville Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Playing mainly as a wingman, he also represented Western Australia in 16 interstate matches, and later coached the East Perth Football Club between 1983 and 1986, before dying in 1993 at the age of 46 from a heart attack. Brehaut was posthumously inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Keith Harper was an Australian rules footballer who played for Perth in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL) during the late 1940s and 1950s. His younger brother Roy also played with the club.

Ronald Douglas Tucker was an Australian rules footballer who played for Perth and Subiaco in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). Playing in a number of positions, though primarily at centre half-forward, Tucker kicked a total of 803 goals in 215 WANFL games between 1940 and 1955, and 32 goals in 14 games for Western Australia in interstate matches. Tucker was named in Perth's Team of the Century in 1998, and was inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2009.

Domenick Louis "Don" Marinko was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Subiaco and West Perth Football Clubs in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) and the Boulder City Football Club in the Goldfields Football League (GFL). Born in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, he was educated at Christian Brothers' College in Perth, and made his senior debut for Subiaco in 1923, at the age of 16. The following season, Marinko returned to the Goldfields in order to find work in the mines, and took up playing for the Boulder City Football Club in the Goldfields Football Association (GFA), playing in premierships in 1924 and 1925. Returning to Perth, he fell into West Perth's zone, and began playing with the club in 1926. Marinko played in premiership sides for West Perth in 1932, 1934, and 1935, and was captain of the club for the latter two seasons. At his retirement in 1939, he had played 194 games for the club, and 197 games total in the WAFL, as well as playing thirteen interstate matches for Western Australia. Having died in 1967 from a sudden heart attack, Marinko was named in West Perth's Team of the Century in 2000, and inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Walter John "Wally" Price was an Australian rules footballer who played for the West Perth Football Club in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). Born in Margaret River, Western Australia, Price played 256 games for the club between 1942 and 1954, mainly as a back pocket. Having played in premierships in 1942, 1949, and 1951, he also played 12 interstate matches for Western Australia, and was inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
