Ronald Marshall "Ron" Merriott (born May 24, 1960) is an American former diver who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1] He was born in Rockford, Illinois. [1] In 1984, Merriott won the NCAA championship in 3-meter springboard diving. His score of 600.3 is the highest of any of the University of Michigan's national champion 3-meter divers. [2]

Ronald John Freeman III is an American former athlete. At the 1968 Summer Olympics, Freeman won a gold medal in the 4×400 m relay and a bronze medal in the 400 meters. Herb Barten is an American former middle distance runner who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics, where he placed fourth with a time of 1:50.1 in the 800 meter. Barten was the AAU 800 meter champion in 1948 and placed second the following year. Barten attended the University of Michigan from 1946–49, where he claimed five individual Big Ten titles. In 2007, he was inducted into the Michigan Men's Track and Field hall of fame. As of 2016, Barten resides in Clemson, South Carolina where he "enjoys watching the youngsters compete [in the Olympics] every four years."
