Rough Diamonds is the debut EP release by Australian power pop band End of Fashion. The songs "Rough Diamonds" and "She's Love" were later re-recorded for their 2005 self-titled debut album.

Triple J Hottest 100

The Triple JHottest 100 is an annual music listener poll hosted by the publicly-funded, national Australian radio station, Triple J. The public is invited to vote for their favourite Australian and alternative music of the year in an online poll conducted two weeks prior to the new year. From 1989 to 2018, the 100 most popular songs were counted down from 12 pm on Australia Day. Since then the countdown has been held on the fourth weekend of January, due to increasing controversy about Australia Day regarding its marking of the colonisation of Australia and dispossession of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land. On the day after the Hottest 100, Triple J plays the Hottest 200 from 10am.

You Am I Australian rock band

You Am I are an Australian alternative rock band, fronted by lead singer-songwriter-guitarist, Tim Rogers. They formed in December 1989 and are the first Australian band to have released three successive albums that have each debuted at the number-one position on the ARIA Albums Chart: Hi Fi Way, Hourly, Daily and #4 Record. Nine of their tracks appeared on the related ARIA Singles Chart top 50 with "What I Don't Know 'bout You", their highest charting, at No. 28. You Am I have received ten ARIA Music Awards from thirty one nominations. The band have supported international artists such as The Who, The Rolling Stones, Sonic Youth and Oasis.

The Whitlams

The Whitlams are an Australian indie rock band formed in late 1992. The original line-up was Tim Freedman on keyboards and lead vocals, Andy Lewis on double bass and Stevie Plunder on guitar. Other than mainstay Freedman, the line-up has changed numerous times. Since 2001 he has been joined by Warwick Hornby on bass guitar, Jak Housden on guitar and Terepai Richmond on drums. Four of their studio albums have reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 20: Eternal Nightcap, Love This City, Torch the Moon and Little Cloud. Their highest charting singles are "Blow Up the Pokies" and "Fall for You" – both reached number 21. The group's single, "No Aphrodisiac" was listed at number one on the Triple J Hottest 100, 1997 by listeners of national radio station, Triple J. In January 1996 Stevie Plunder was found dead at the base of Wentworth Falls. Andy Lewis committed suicide in February 2000.

The 2003 Triple J Hottest 100, announced on 25 January 2004, was the eleventh such countdown of the most popular songs of the year, according to listeners of the Australian radio station Triple J. As in previous years, a CD featuring 40 songs was released. A DVD, containing film clips of songs from the Hottest 100 was also released. A countdown of the videos of each song was shown on the ABC music series Rage in March.

The 2004 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 26 January 2005. It was the twelfth such countdown of the most popular songs of the year, according to listeners of the Australian radio station Triple J.

End of Fashion

End of Fashion are an Australian pop rock band from Perth, Western Australia. In January 2014, the band took a hiatus, with former lead singer and guitarist Justin Burford explaining in a Facebook post: "Triple J [national Australian radio station] ended the career path of End of Fashion, no question." The group gained mainstream attention with its 2005 single, "O Yeah", that was voted into eighth position of the "Hottest 100" poll, compiled by Australian youth radio station, Triple J. The group has released three studio albums. The band performed their first show since their long-term hiatus on 22 September 2018 at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough.

<i>Dreams</i> (Evermore album) 2004 studio album by Evermore

Dreams is the debut album by Evermore, released on 27 September 2004 in Australia, 8 October 2004 in New Zealand and 23 May 2006 in the US. The album peaked at No. 15 on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, and received platinum accreditation in 2005. The album was nominated for four ARIA Music Awards in 2005. It reached No. 30 on the Official New Zealand Music Chart for albums.

Beautiful to Me (Little Birdy song)

"Beautiful to Me" is the first single by Australian indie rock band Little Birdy, from their debut album BigBigLove. It was released on 13 September 2004 and reached number 27 on the ARIA Singles Charts. The song reached number 2 on the Triple J Net 50 and was ranked number 8 on Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2004.

"Tonight's the Night" is the second single from Little Birdy's debut album BigBigLove and was released 29 November 2004 by Eleven and distributed by Virgin/EMI. The song appeared at No. 76 on the ARIA Singles Chart Top 100. Like the other tracks on the album it was produced by Paul McKercher at Big Jesus Burger Studios and mixed at Studios 301.

One Second of Insanity

"One Second of Insanity" was the second single from the debut album, Begins Here, by Australian rock group, The Butterfly Effect and was released in 2003. Though the track failed to appear on the ARIA Singles Chart, it was ranked at No. 68 on the Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2003. The national radio station, Triple J, had played it, as a radio-only release, which had a limited run of 500 CD single units pressed.

"Skinny Love" is a song written by American musician and songwriter Justin Vernon. It was originally released by the indie folk band Bon Iver, of which Vernon is a member, in 2007. Flight Facilities

Flight Facilities is an Australian electronic producer duo that also performs as Hugo & Jimmy. In 2009, they began mixing songs by other artists before crafting their own original material. The duo consists of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell. Their debut album, Down to Earth was released in October 2014 and features prominent names in the industry such as Kylie Minogue, Emma Louise, Reggie Watts, Bishop Nehru, Christine Hoberg, Owl Eyes, and Stee Downes.

The 2017 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 27 January 2018. It was the 25th countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. A record-breaking number of voters participated by choosing their top ten songs of 2017.

Ocean Alley is an Australian alternative psychedelic rock band from the Northern Beaches. The band is made up of Baden Donegal, Angus Goodwin, Lach Galbraith, Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Nic Blom (bass) and Tom O'Brien (drums). Their style of music has been described as "cruisey psych, rock and reggae fusion".

<i>Lonely Diamond</i> 2020 studio album by Ocean Alley

Lonely Diamond is the third studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band Ocean Alley. It was released on 19 June 2020 under Unified and Sony Music Australia. The album was announced in April 2020, alongside the release of the album's fourth single, "Hot Chicken".
