Royal Jet LLC, typically referred to as RoyalJet, is an airline based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. [3] It is a charter operator aimed at the luxury market between the UAE and Europe.[ citation needed ] RoyalJet has operating bases at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, and Al Maktoum International Airport. [4]

History

The airline started operations on 4 May 2003 as a joint venture by Abu Dhabi Aviation and Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight (since 2009, Presidential Flight). [5]

In 2021, RoyalJet Bermuda, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RoyalJet, was launched, flying a single Boeing 737-700 BBJ. [6]

Rotana Jet is an airline with its main base at Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi. Its corporate head office is located in the NOVOTEL Gate Hotel, Khor Al Maqta Gate City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. While it initially operated only executive charter flights; Rotana started scheduled flights to Sir Bani Yas island in June 2012 but suspended scheduled operations in 2017. Its flights to Fujairah made it the first domestic airline to connect two emirates. Libyan Wings Airlines Co JSC, or Libyan Wings, is an airline with its head office on the grounds of Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, Libya. It started operations in September 2015 after facing delays because of political instability in Libya. As of January 2020, the airline operates four Airbus A319s to four destinations in Libya, Tunisia and Turkey.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi LLC is an Emirati scheduled low-cost airline based at Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE. The airline is a joint venture with state-owned ADQ, which owns 51 percent with Wizz Air Holdings owning the remaining 49 percent. Flights began in November 2020 with two Airbus A321neo aircraft, rising to 50 over the next few years.
