The Rugby Americas North Championship, known before the 2016 edition as the NACRA Rugby Championship, is a championship for Tier 3 members of Rugby Americas North in men's 15-a-side rugby union. The United States and Canada, the two tier 2 sides in the North American region, take part in the Rugby Americas Championship, the "Americas 6 Nations", instead but a team representing the United States South regional association, USA South do take part.
The current format of the tournament contains both a geographical and divisional element with promotion and relegation. All the teams are split between the North and South. Within that geographical split, teams are then split into the Championship (higher division) and the Cup (lower division). The highest placed team in each Cup plays the bottom team in their respective Championship for promotion. As of 2017, the Southern region does not have a Cup division.
Finally, the winner of the North championship plays the winner of the South championship in the RAN Championship final to decide the winner of the overall tournament.[1]

The 2013 NACRA Women's Sevens was the ninth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the George Town which was in the Cayman Islands. It was held on 9–10 November. The stadium was the Truman Bodden Stadium as it was also a qualification tournament for the Central America and Caribbean Games which would be held in Mexico.
The 2014 NACRA Rugby Championship, the seventh edition of the NACRA Rugby Championship, was a rugby union championship for Tier 3 North American and Caribbean teams. Pool play took place between 10 May and 28 June. A championship game followed in June, with Guyana defeating USA South in extra time. Mexico was promoted to the North Championship, with Bermuda moving down, due to the latter's inability to organize the promotion/relegation match. In the South division, Barbados defeated Curaçao to remain in the Championship.

The 2014 NACRA Women's Sevens was the tenth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the Campo Marte in Mexico City, Mexico on 3–4 December 2014.
This was the qualifications of the men to the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens aimed at selecting men's national teams in the Rugby sevens, which appeared in the finals in Moscow.
Qualifying for the 2019 Rugby World Cup for the Americas began in March 2016, where across 3 years, 20 teams competed for two direct qualification spots into the final tournament, and one spot in the Repechage tournament. For qualification purposes, the two Americas regions Rugby Americas North and Sudamérica Rugby formed the Americas region to compete for the two Americas berths in the World Cup.
The 2016 Rugby Americas North Championship, the ninth edition of NACRA Rugby Championship, is a rugby union championship for Tier 3 North American and Caribbean teams. Pool play takes place between 3 March and 2 July. Unlike the 2015 edition of the tournament, teams are split into North and South zones, but not Championships and Cups. As this edition of the tournament doubles as a round of qualification for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, only full members of World Rugby will compete.
