The Memorial Cup is the national championship of the Canadian Hockey League, a consortium of three major junior ice hockey leagues operating in Canada and parts of the United States. It is a four-team round-robin tournament played among the champions of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and Western Hockey League (WHL), and a fourth, hosting team, which alternates between the three leagues annually. The Memorial Cup trophy was established by Captain James T. Sutherland to honour those who died in service during World War I. It was rededicated during the 2010 tournament to honour all soldiers who died fighting for Canada in any conflict.
The Centennial Cup is an annual ice hockey tournament organized by Hockey Canada and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), which determines the national champion of junior A ice hockey. In 2018, citing costs for travel and accommodations, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan withdrew from competition for the Keystone Cup, making it a championship between Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

The Richmond Sockeyes are a Junior "A“ ice hockey team based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. They were named the "Sockeyes" by the original owner and longtime Richmond resident and B.C. hockey volunteer and leader Bruce Allison in 1972. Allison was motivated to bring top-level junior hockey to Richmond while also encouraging local players to play closer to home and stay in school. The first captain of the team was Richmond product Doug Paterson - who is one of the team's current owners. The Sockeyes franchise has had success as a Junior B team, and for several years as a top Junior A team in the PAC-A league and later the BC Junior Hockey League. The Sockeyes have won nine PJHL championships, six Cyclone Taylor Junior B BC Championship titles, two Keystone Cup National Junior B Championship titles, two Mowat Cup BC Junior A Championship titles, a Fred Page Championship as BCHL champions and a Centennial Cup as National Junior A Champions. They also won the Abbott Cup and Doyle Cup in 1987 - defeating Alberta and Saskatchewan Junior A champions on their way to a national title.
The Campbell River Storm are a Junior "A" ice hockey team based in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the North Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). The Storm play their home games at Rod Brind'Amour Arena. Jordan Rauser has been the coach since 2023. They are captained by forward Davis Frank.
The Kinistino Jr. Tigers were a team in the North Saskatchewan Junior B Hockey League (NSJHL) from 1970–1997. Originally called the Kinistino Tiger-Bruins, the team was renamed to the Tigers following the 1983–1984 season. The Tigers played out of the Kinistino Sports Complex in Kinistino, Saskatchewan for the duration of the team's existence. The team folded after the 1996–1997 season due to the inability to attract young players to play in the small town.
The Whitecourt Wolverines were a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada. They were members of the North West Junior Hockey League (NWJHL) and played their home games out of the Scott Safety Centre.
The Killam Wheat Kings are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Killam, Alberta, Canada. They are members of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL). They play their home games at Killam Agriplex.
The St. Paul Canadiens are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada. They were founded in 1953 as the St. Paul Chevrolets. In 1954 Clarence (Clancy) Richard formed the St.Paul Junior B Canadiens. They are members of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL). As a Western Canadian Junior B franchise, the Canadiens are eligible for the Keystone Cup.
The Wainwright Bisons are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Wainwright, Alberta, Canada. They are members of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL). They play their home games at Peace Memorial Multiplex.
The Red Deer Vipers are a Junior "B" Ice Hockey team based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. They are members of the North Division of the Heritage Junior B Hockey League (HJHL). They played their home games at Red Deer Arena until 2016 when it was torn down to be rebuilt. The Vipers played home games out of Red Deer's Collicutt Centre which only sat about 500 with standing room for a season & a half. In January 2018, the Vipers returned to downtown Red Deer to play in the new Servus Arena which seats about 1,300.

The North Edmonton Red Wings are a Canadian Junior B ice hockey team located in Edmonton, Alberta. They play in the Capital Junior Hockey League, out of the Derry. Their head coach is Wally Corse. The Red Wings were the 2015 Alberta provincial Junior B champions, and lost to the Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League in the final of the 2015 Keystone Cup.
The St. Albert Merchants are a Canadian Junior B ice hockey team located in St. Albert, Alberta. They play in the Capital Junior Hockey League out of the Jarome Iginla Arena. They are coached by Niall O'Donoghue and Ian McFatridge.
