The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup was the eighth Cricket World Cup, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya from 9 February to 23 March 2003. This edition of the World Cup was the first to be played in Africa.
The 1996 Cricket World Cup, also called the Wills World Cup 1996 after the Wills Navy Cut brand produced by tournament sponsor ITC, was the sixth Cricket World Cup organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was the second World Cup to be hosted by Pakistan and India but Sri Lanka were hosts for the first time. The tournament was won by Sri Lanka, who defeated Australia by seven wickets in the final on 17 March 1996 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.

The Kenya men's national cricket team represents the Republic of Kenya in international cricket. Kenya is an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has Twenty20 International (T20I) status after the ICC granted T20I status to all of their members.
The Nepal men's national cricket team represents the country of Nepal in International cricket and is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). They are Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1996. Nepal were awarded Twenty20 International (T20I) status by the ICC in June 2014 until the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier and earned One Day International (ODI) status in 2018.

The Afghanistan men's national cricket team represents Afghanistan in international cricket. Cricket has been played in Afghanistan since the mid-19th century, but it was only in the early 21st century that the national team began to enjoy success. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was formed by Afghanistan Cricket Board in 1995 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and a member of the cricket confederation, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. After nearly a decade of playing international cricket, on 22 June 2017 full ICC Membership was granted to Afghanistan. Alongside Ireland, this took the number of Test cricket playing nations to twelve. Afghanistan is the first country to achieve Full Member status after holding Affiliate Membership of the ICC. Following this, the team moved to a new home ground in Dehradun, northern India. The current home ground of the Afghanistan Men's Cricket team is BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India.
David Trent Johnston is an Irish-Australian cricket coach and former player. He was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, and played his early cricket for New South Wales in Australian domestic competitions. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, he later moved to Ireland, and made his debut for the Ireland cricket team in 2004. Johnston was subsequently named captain of Ireland, and was a regular fixture in the national team until his retirement in 2013. He coached the Hong Kong national cricket team from 2019 to 2022.
William Kyle McCallan, usually known as Kyle McCallan, is a former Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, he has played more times for the Ireland cricket team than any other player, more than 40 caps ahead of the next player in the table, the retired Peter Gillespie. Only three players have captained Ireland more times than McCallan, and only Jason Molins has captained them to more wins. He has also played second XI cricket for Derbyshire and Surrey.
Andre Cornelius Botha is a former Irish cricketer. He played 55 times in all for Ireland, including the 2005 ICC Trophy and the European Championship in 2004 and 2006. Botha retired in May 2011.
Pieter Marinus Seelaar is a Dutch cricketer and a former captain of the national team. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. Having played for The Netherlands at the Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 levels, he made his senior debut in a C&G Trophy game against Warwickshire on 3 May 2005. He then played in the ICC Trophy later that year. He made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka on 6 July 2006. Two years later, Seelaar made his Twenty20 International debut.
Tom Nico de Grooth is a Dutch cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler. He made his debut for the Dutch national team in a one-day game against Denmark on 26 July 2003. His highest first-class score is 196 for the Netherlands, which came against Bermuda in the 2007-08 ICC Intercontinental Cup. In 2010, De Grooth was among the first three cricketers to be awarded central contracts with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond.
This is a list of squads named for the seventh edition of Cricket World Cup, held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya between 9 February and 23 March 2003. The tournament saw 14 teams selected and placed in two groups. Each country was required to submit a final list of 15 players by 31 December 2002. An injured player could be replaced at any time up until the end of the tournament. Replacement players who were not in the original 15-man squad are indicated in italics. The oldest player at the 2003 Cricket World Cup was Lennie Louw (43) of Namibia while the youngest was Talha Jubair (17) of Bangladesh.

The 2009–10 ICC Intercontinental Cup was the fifth edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup tournament, an international first-class cricket competition between nations who had not been awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council. The first fixtures were played in July 2009. The format was changed since the previous edition, with a two division system being introduced. The 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier also served as a qualifier for this tournament. The top six teams from the qualifier, along with a Zimbabwe XI, would compete in a round robin top division. The teams ranked 7th–10th in the competition would contest the ICC Intercontinental Shield.
Javed Ahmadi is an Afghan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He currently represents the Afghanistan national cricket team. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first Test match, against India, in June 2018.
Nitish Roenik Kumar is a Canadian cricketer who was the former captain of the national team. Kumar was appointed as the national men's team captain in October 2016 at the age of 22. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off spin. After representing the country at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in January, Kumar made his One Day International debut the following month, becoming the second-youngest player in the history of ODIs. When Canada participated in the 2011 World Cup Kumar became the youngest player to feature in the tournament. He played his first Twenty20 International in March 2012.
The Namibia men's national cricket team, nicknamed the Eagles, is the men's team that represents the Republic of Namibia in international cricket. It is organised by Cricket Namibia which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1992.
The 2015–2017 ICC World Cricket League Championship was the second edition of the ICC World Cricket League Championship. It took place from 2015 until 2017, in parallel with the 2015-17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Both Ireland and Afghanistan had been promoted to the main ICC ODI Championship and did not compete in this tournament. Instead, Kenya and Nepal were included in the tournament. The tournament was played in a round-robin format. All matches were recorded as List A matches, and those in which both teams had ODI status were also recorded as ODIs.
Marijn Elise Nijman is a Dutch former cricketer who played as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm medium. She appeared in one Test match, 21 One Day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals for the Netherlands between 2005 and 2011.
