Ryan Carneli (born 11 October 1985 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian taekwondo practitioner. [1] Carneli qualified for the men's 58 kg class at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, after winning the Oceania Qualification Tournament in Noumea, New Caledonia. [2] He defeated Philippines' Tshomlee Go in the preliminary round of sixteen, before losing out the quarterfinal match to Thailand's Chutchawal Khawlaor, who was able to score two points at the end of the game. He qualified for the men's flyweight category (58 kg) at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, when he won a silver medal for his host nation at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, losing out to Gabriel Mercedes of the Dominican Republic in the final match. He also added the bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, after being defeated by Mexico's Damian Villa in the semi-final round. He is the brother of Marcel Ferreira, who also competed for the same category at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

Leonardo Basile is an Italian taekwondo practitioner. In 2005, Basile had won two bronze medals for the over-84 kg class at the World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain, and at the Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey. He also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, and eventually defeated Slovenia's Ivan Trajkovic for the gold at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships in Manchester, England. Basile is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul.

Daniela Castrignano is an Italian taekwondo practitioner, who competed in the women's heavyweight category. She obtained a total of nine medals in her sporting career, including one Gold and two silvers at the European Championships and a bronze in the over-72 kg division at the 2007 World Taekwondo Championships in Beijing. Castrignano was also selected to compete for the Italian taekwondo squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where she placed fifth in the women's heavyweight category (+67 kg). Throughout her sporting career, Castrignano trained for Team Perulli in her native Lecce under head coach and master Giuseppe Perulli.
