Ryan Johnson (born 1979) is an Australian actor.
Johnson attended Somerset College on the Gold Coast, and graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 1999. [1]
He made his acting debut in 2000 featuring in performances on stage, television and film. His film credits include City Loop (2000), The Wannabes (2003), [1] Thunderstruck (2004), [1] All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane (2007), [1] Monkey Puzzle (2008), [1] Jucy (2010) and Guardians of the Tomb (2018). He appeared in his first major television role in the short-lived Head Start in 2001, followed by roles in successful Australian drama series, including All Saints , [1] The Secret Life of Us , [1] Underbelly , [1] Sea Patrol , Rake , Love Child and House Husbands . In 2007, he guested in an episode of CSI: New York . [1]
In October 2011, it was announced Johnson had joined the main cast of US drama Fairly Legal for its second season, as trial attorney Ben Grogan. [2] The series was cancelled at the end of the season due to low ratings. [3]
For five seasons, Johnson played Matt Knight in the drama series Doctor Doctor (2016–2021). [4] For his performance, he earned a nomination for the Logie Award for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2017. [5]
Johnson played Paulie Rosetta, brother of Angelo Rosetta (Luke Jacobz), in the television soap opera Home and Away in 2010. [6] In April 2022, he rejoined the cast as wealthy gambler and villain Peter "PK" King. [6]
Johnson lives with his wife Leah Da Gloria, a fashion designer, and has one child, a daughter, with tv writer, Tamara Asmar. [7] [8]

McLeod's Daughters is an Australian drama television series created by Posie Graeme-Evans and Caroline Stanton for the Nine Network, which aired from 8 August 2001, to 31 January 2009, lasting eight seasons. It stars Lisa Chappell and Bridie Carter in the leading roles as two sisters reunited after twenty years of separation, thrust into a working relationship when they inherit their family's cattle station in South Australia. The series is produced by Millennium Television, in association with Nine Films and Television and Southern Star. Graeme-Evans, Kris Noble and Susan Bower served as the original executive producers.

He is best known for his portrayals of Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Owen in the Nine Network crime mini-series Underbelly, based on the Melbourne gangland killings, Senior Sergeant Lawson Blake in the Network Ten police drama series Rush, and as Dr. Hugh Knight in The Nine Network series Doctor Doctor. The role saw Mitchell win the Most Popular New Male Talent Logie Award in 2010.
Crownies is an Australian television drama series which was originally broadcast on ABC1 from 14 July until 1 December 2011. The series revolves around a group of solicitors fresh from law school, working with Crown Prosecutors, who are the public prosecutors in the legal system of New South Wales, working for the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Doctor Doctor is an Australian television drama created by Tony McNamara, Ian Collie and Alan Harris, which premiered on the Nine Network on 14 September 2016, lasting five seasons, concluding on 23 June 2021. The cast includes Rodger Corser, Nicole da Silva, Ryan Johnson, Tina Bursill, Hayley McElhinney and Steve Bisley, and follows the story of Hugh Knight, a rising heart surgeon who is gifted, charming and infallible. The Good Doctor is an American medical drama television series remake of the 2013 South Korean series of the same name. The series stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young autistic surgical resident at the fictional San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Christina Chang, Richard Schiff, Will Yun Lee, Fiona Gubelmann, Paige Spara, Noah Galvin and Bria Samoné Henderson also star in the show. Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, Jasika Nicole, Osvaldo Benavides and Brandon Larracuente used to also star or had recurring roles in the show, but their characters were written out of the storyline as the series progressed. S.W.A.T. is an American procedural action drama television series, based on the 1975 television series and 2003 film of the same name. Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan developed the new series, which premiered on CBS on November 2, 2017, and is produced by Original Film, CBS Studios and Sony Pictures Television. In April 2022, the series was renewed for a sixth season which premiered on October 7, 2022. In May 2023, the series was canceled after six seasons at CBS, only to be renewed for a seventh and final season at CBS a few days later. The seventh season premiered on February 16, 2024. In April 2024, the final season decision was reversed and the show was renewed for an eighth season.
