Salt Lake Electronics Complex (or, Salt Lake Electronic City) (abbr. SALTLEC) is a technology hub in the Sector V of Bidhannagar, Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. Spread over an area of 150 Acres, [1] [2] it consists various electronics and IT parks. It is India's first fully integrated Electronics Complex, [1] specialized for electronics, IT and BPO industry. The complex has 20 acres of SEZ land, allotted to Wipro.
Salt Lake electronics complex was formed by Webel in 1989 to promote electronic industry. 87.55 Acres of land in Sector V was earmarked for the complex. [3] The complex was originally designed as an Electronics Industry Complex, which would house large, medium and small electronics firms. But afterwards due to close proximity to Kolkata Airport, the then Government of West Bengal decided to promote the complex as an IT-BPO hub. [4] It became India's first fully integrated Electronics Complex, [5] and afterwards first software technology complex in Kolkata metropolitan.
In 1999, Salt Lake Electronic Complex housed 160 companies spread over an area of 135 acres. [6] In 2006, SALTLEC housed more than 170 IT/ITeS, biotech and pharma companies. [7] As of 2019, the complex is spread on a land of 150 Acres which have 63 electronic units and more than 200 IT/ITeS firms along with many MSME companies. [2] [8]

Infopark, Kochi is an information technology park situated in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India. Established in 2004 by the Government of Kerala, the park is spread over 260 acres (105.2 ha) of campus across two phases, housing 546 companies which employs about 63,600 professionals as of 2022.

West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) is an public sector company owned by Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal which works on IT, ITeS, electronics industry, technology development and it's related industries. Based in Indian state of West Bengal and headquartered in Salt Lake city near Kolkata, it was incorporated in 1974 with the objective of developing the electronics industry in West Bengal.

In December 2022, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar, in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha informed that IT units registered with state-run Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Special Economic Zones have exported software worth Rs 11.59 lakh crore in 2021–22.
The SEZ Corridor is an emerging corridor implementing a number of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) along the Grand Southern Trunk Road in Chennai. Started with the establishment of the Madras Export Processing Zone in 1984, the SEZ corridor currently has 5 operational SEZs and over 10 approved projects in development. The GST Road is widely made use of for SEZ projects due to its connectivity with various means of transport by road, rail and air. This is evident by the presence of the Chennai International Airport, various railway stations parallel to the road, and also its connectivity to the complex road network of the National Highways Authority of India.
Cyberpark Kozhikode is a Government of Kerala owned business park for the promotion and development of investment in Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) industries in the Malabar region of Kerala. It was registered under the Societies Act 1860 on January 28, 2009. In addition to this, it has a General Body and a Board of Governors, both of which include top officials of the government.Cyberpark, Kozhikode has been envisioned and conceptualized as a major IT hub catering to the northern part of Kerala for the development of IT/ITeS sector in the state. Kinfra Film and Video Park is India's first Infotainment Industrial Park. It is also the first SEZ in India for animation and gaming. It is situated in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala State. The Park is a fully owned subsidiary of KINFRA, a statutory body of the Kerala Government.
Economy of Coimbatore is heavily influenced by information technology, engineering and textiles. Software exports from Tamil Nadu during 2017–2018 rose 8.8% per cent to touch 1,11,179 crore, involving a workforce of 780,000, and the city is the hub for deep tech startup companies. Many software and software services companies have development centres in Chennai, which contributed 14 percent of India's total software exports of ₹ 14,42,140 lakh during 2006–07, making it the third largest Indian city software exporter following Bangalore, Hyderabad and the city is the home for 7 top rated IT companies out of 15 in India. The Tidel Park in Chennai was billed as Asia's largest IT park when it was built. Major software companies have their offices set up here, with some of them making Chennai their largest base. Chennai is the largest hub for e-publishing, as there are 67 e-publishing units registered with the STPI and many Rs.8300-Cr data centers, digital hubs are in the process of development. A major reason for the growth of the Software industry are the top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, of which Chennai is a major contributor, have been a major recruiting hub for the IT firms. According to estimates, these engineering colleges and universities consistently generate about 50 per cent of the human resource requirements for the IT and ITES industry was being sourced from the state, particularly from Chennai. The total employment in the Tamil Nadu’s technology sector crossed the one million mark in the quarter ended June 2022.
