Sam Kahamba Kutesa is a Ugandan politician, businessman and lawyer involved in several corruption cases. By the marriage of his daughter Charlotte Kutesa Muhoozi with Muhoozi he is part of the inner circle of president Museveni. Kutesa was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda, a position he held from 13 January 2005 and maintained through three cabinet reshuffles until May 2021. He was also the elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Mawogola County in Sembabule District. He was the President of the United Nations General Assembly during its 69th session in 2014–2015.
Makerere University is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922, and the oldest currently active university in East Africa. It became an independent national university in 1970. Today, Makerere University is composed of nine colleges and one school, offering programmes for about 36,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. In addition, Makerere has onother campus in Eastern Uganda Jinja City.
John Ken Lukyamuzi, commonly known as Ken Lukyamuzi, is a Ugandan politician and lawyer, who is the leader of the Conservative Party of Uganda. He served in the 7th parliament (2001–2006) as the elected representative for Lubaga South Constituency. He represented the same constituency in the 9th parliament (2011–2016).
John Ssebaana Kizito was a Ugandan businessman, economist and politician. He was the president of the Democratic Party (DP) in Uganda from 2005 to 2010. Kizito was a member of the University Council of Ndejje University. He was reported to be one of the wealthiest people in Uganda, having sizable holdings in real estate and insurance.
Moses Ali is a Ugandan politician and retired military general. He is the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business in Parliament. He previously served in the Cabinet of Uganda as Third Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business from May 2011 until June 2016. He also served as the first First Deputy Prime Minister from June 2016 to May 2021. He has served as the elected Member of Parliament for East Moyo County in Adjumani District since 2011.
Syda Namirembe Bbumba is a Ugandan accountant, politician and banker. She served in the Cabinet of Uganda as Minister of Energy and Minerals from 2002 to 2006, Minister of Gender, Labor and Social Development from 2006 to 2008, Minister of Finance from 2009 to 2011, and Minister of Gender, Labor and Social Development again from 2011 to 2012. She was also the elected Member of Parliament for Nakaseke County North, Nakaseke District She was the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on National Economy and also Chairperson of the Parliamentary Islamic Banking Forum. She was Sub-Saharan Africa's representative to the OIC Women Advisory Panel.
Beatrice Mukaye Wabudeya is a Ugandan veterinarian and politician. She is the former Minister for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), in the Ugandan Cabinet, from 17 March 2011 until 27 May 2011. Prior to that, she served as the Minister for the Presidency, from 2006 until May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, she was replaced at the Ministry for the Presidency by Kabakumba Masiko. She formerly served as the Member of Parliament (MP), representing Sironko District Women's Constituency from 2001 until 2011.
Ephraim Kamuntu is a Ugandan management scientist and politician. He has been the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda since 14 December 2019. Previously, he served as Minister of Water and Environment from August 2012 to June 2016. He is also an ex-officio Member of the Parliament of Uganda because of his Cabinet position.
Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi is a Ugandan politician and lawyer who served as the eighth vice president of Uganda from 24 May 2011 to 21 June 2021. Prior to that, he served as the Speaker of Parliament from 2001 to 2011. He served as Member of Parliament for Bukoto County Central constituency from 1996 to 2021.
Henry Banyenzaki is a Ugandan politician who served as the elected Member of Parliament for Rubanda County West, Kabale District. From 2011 to 2016, he served as the State Minister for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President in the Cabinet of Uganda.
Ida Erios Nantaba is a Ugandan politician. She was the State Minister in the Uganda Ministry of Information and Communications Technology. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Prior to that, from 15 August 2012 until 6 June 2016, she was Minister of State for Lands in the Cabinet of Uganda. Nantaba is also the elected Member of Parliament for Women in Kayunga District Constituency.
Frank Kagyigyi Tumwebaze is a Ugandan educator and politician of the National Resistance Movement political party. He is the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, effective 8 June 2021.
Prof. Sir Gordon Babala Kasibante Wavamunno, often simply referred to as Gordon Wavamunno, is a Ugandan entrepreneur, businessman, and philanthropist. He is the owner of Spear Motors Uganda—the sole distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Uganda. He also owns other companies like GM Tumpeco which makes Ugandan Vehicle number plates, Wavah Water Limited and Wavah Books Limited. He was the director for WBS Television and is reported to be one of the wealthiest people in Uganda. He also served as the honorary consul of Hungary to Uganda.
Chris Baryomunsi is a Ugandan physician, public health specialist, demographer, and politician. He is the Minister for ICT and National Guidance in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position in 2021. From 1 March 2015 until 6 June 2016, he served as State Minister of Health for General Duties.
Martin Andi Drito is an economist, businessman, entrepreneur and politician in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community. He is the current managing director and chief executive officer of Drito Global Corporation Limited, a mining and logging company that he founded and owns. In 2007, he was reported to be one of the wealthiest individuals in Uganda.
Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, commonly known as Ibrahim Ssemujju, is a Ugandan journalist and politician. He is the member of Parliament representing Kira municipality in the 10th Parliament.
General Joram Mugume, is a military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He is the chairman of the board of directors of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the business arm of the UPDF. He was appointed to that position by the Uganda Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, on 20 February 2018. He has also served as the chairman of the "Military Land Board", another organ of the UPDF. He has been serving in that position since 2005, having served as Deputy Chief of Defense Forces in the past.
Persis Princess Namuganza is a Ugandan politician and the State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development (Lands) in the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Namuganza concurrently serves as the elected representative of Bukono County in Namutumba District, in the 11th Parliament (2021–2026).
Hellen Kahunde, also Helen Kahunde, is a Ugandan educator and politician who serves as the Member of Parliament representing the Kiryandongo District Women' Constituency in the 10th Parliament. In 2021 she was re elected into parliament. In the eleventh parliament, she serves on the Committee on East African Community Affairs.
