Sambaia Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Tonkolili District of Sierra Leone. [1] [2] Its capital is Bendugu.

Government

Alhaji Musa Bamba Foray Kulio Jalloh was elected to serve as Paramount Chief of the Sambaia Chiefdom in 2021. [3]

Julius Maada Wonie Bio is a Sierra Leonean politician, and the current president of Sierra Leone since 4 April 2018. He is a retired brigadier in the Sierra Leone Army and was the military head of state of Sierra Leone from 16 January 1996 to 29 March 1996, in a military junta government known as the National Provisional Ruling Council (NPRC). As the candidate of the main opposition Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), Bio defeated Samura Kamara of the ruling All People's Congress (APC) in the runoff vote of the 2018 Sierra Leonean presidential election with 51.8% of the votes to Kamara's 48.2%. International and local observers declared the election free and fair. He succeeded Ernest Bai Koroma as president.

Ansarul Islamic Boys Secondary School also known as"A School," is a government sponsored public secondary school located in Tankoro Chiefdom, Koidutown, Kono District, Sierra Leone. The school was founded on Islamic Principle in 1974 by two illustrious Fula businessmen, Alhaji Sajalieu Bah, and Alhaji Chewtor Jalloh. The school is an affiliate of the Sierra Leone Ansarul Islamic Mission. The school's motto is "Service To Mankind." The school is the first and only boys secondary school in Koidutown. The school is regarded as one of the most prominent Secondary schools in the region. The school's alumni includes medical doctors, theologists, diplomats, politicians, paramount chief, military officers, lawyers, educators, athletes, and business entrepreneurs. Although the school has an Islamic tradition, students from all religious background are accepted, and the staff is made up of teachers from different religious background.

Haja Umu Hawa Tejan-Jalloh, GCOR is a Sierra Leonean lawyer who was the first female Chief Justice of Sierra Leone from 2008 to 2015.

Bendugu is the capital and largest town of Falaba District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. Bendugu is a very rural town and is also the seat of Mongo Chiefdom. Bendugu is located in close proximity to the international border with the Republic of Guinea. Bendugu is about 85 miles to Kabala, and is 300 miles east of Freetown. The main economic activity in the town is farming.

Malal Mara Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Tonkolili District of Sierra Leone. Its capital is Rochin.

Badjia Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Bo District of Sierra Leone. Its capital is Ngelehun.

Niawa Lenga Chiefdom is a chiefdom in the northeastern part of the Bo District, Southern Province of Sierra Leone. Its capital is Nengbema, located 27.6 km northeast of the city of Bo. The area of Niawa Lenga Chiefdom includes 241 km2, derived from geospatial data. The neighbour chiefdoms of Niawa Lenga are: Valunia (north), Komboya (northeast), Bagbwe (east), Kakua (south) and Selenga (west).

Matilda Yayu Lansana Minah is Paramount Chief of the Pujehun District in Sierra Leone. She became chief in 1985 after the death of her father, and was elected to parliament in 2018. She is outspoken on women's rights, agriculture and education.
