Sameera Saneesh (born 27 June 1983) is an Indian costume-cum-fashion designer from Kerala, known for her extensive work in Malayalam-language films. [1] She is a recipient of two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Costume Designer (2014 and 2018). [2] As of March, 2019, she has been part of around 150 feature films. [2] [3] She is often described by the media as "busiest costume designer in Malayalam film industry". [3]
Sameera was born to Ibrahim and Jameela in June, 1983. She completed her undergraduate degree at Bharat Mata College, Cochin. [1] It was her fondness for drawing and fabric painting that saw her join for a diploma in fashion designing. [3] She is married to Saneesh K. J., a Kochi-based engineer. [1] She has cited her late mother Jameela as major influence on her life and career. [1] Sabyasachi Mukherjee, a famous fashion designer from Kolkata, is the "favorite designer" of Sameera Saneesh. [1]
Sameera holds a diploma in fashion designing from National Institute for Fashion Designing, Cochin. [1] She started her professional career as an in-house designer for Raymond. [1] She had already started freelancing costumes for ad films while studying in Cochin. She started with television ads for Soundarya Silks and her ad for the Seemas brand, shot in Mysore Palace, was widely appreciated. [3] She went on to design costumes for the television commercials for Bhima, Alukkas, Kalyan Silks, Dhatri, Nirapara and the VKC. [1] Some of these television ads featured major film actors of south India, such as Nithya Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran. [4]
Sameera's first film as costume designer was The White Elephant, a 2008 low-profile Hindi film, directed by Aijaz Khan. [1]
In 2009, her first major commercial film, Aashiq Abu's Daddy Cool, was released. [5] Sameera currently holds to her credit an award by Limca Book of Records for "designing costumes for a large number of films in a very short span of time". [5] She has a supporting team of around 25 people designing and creating clothes for the film characters. [2]
Malayala Manorama is a morning newspaper in Malayalam published from Kottayam, Kerala, India by the Malayala Manorama Company Limited. Sukumari Amma was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films. Sukumari began acting at the age of 10. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions toward the arts. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Tamil film Namma Gramam (2010). Sukumari died on 26 March 2013 in Chennai, following a heart attack.
Thazhathupurakkal Karunakara Panicker Rajeev Kumar is a National Award-winning Indian director of Malayalam films, from Trivandrum. He is the winner of five Kerala State Film Awards for Best Film, Director, Story Writer & Script Writer, a show director, theatre actor and percussionist (Mridangam). He is a founding member and leader of the musical band Blue Birds in 1980 and Super Mimics, a comedy show in 1979. He is also the Kerala University winner of Mono Act in the University Youth Festivals 1980–1982 and Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy winner for Mono Act 1979–1982.
Manju Pillai is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam films and television shows. She is best known for portraying comedic roles, but has also played character roles. She has won the Kerala State Television Award for Kerala State Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in two consecutive years. In 2007, she played one of the female lead roles in Adoor Gopalakrishnan's drama film Naalu Pennungal. Manju is the granddaughter of Malayalam film actor S. P. Pillai. Manju received huge acclaim for her performance in the 2021 film Home.

Punchirikku Parasparam is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language short film directed by Hari P. Nair and produced by Ramesh Pisharody. It stars Mohanlal, Renji Panicker, Pearle Maaney, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Pisharody. There are no dialogues in the film, instead it features musical score composed by Rahul Raj. The film had an initial release on YouTube on 31 October 2015, and was released in social media on 1 November in the day of Kerala Piravi.

Take Off is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language survival thriller film, based on the ordeal of Indian nurses in the city of Tikrit, Iraq, in 2014. The film is the directorial debut of editor Mahesh Narayan, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Divya Prabha. It is written by Mahesh Narayan and P. V. Shajikumar. The film was shot in various parts of Dubai and Kerala.
Mayaanadhi is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language romantic thriller film directed and co-produced by Aashiq Abu, and written by Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. The film stars Tovino Thomas as a criminal on the run and Aishwarya Lekshmi as an aspiring actress. Their troubled love and struggle for survival form the basic plot of the film. It released on 22 December 2017 to widespread critical acclaim from critics. Manju Pathrose is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam television and films. She was a contestant along with her husband in the reality TV show Veruthe Alla Bharya (2012) on Mazhavil Manorama. She got her first break with the character role of Syamala in Marimayam (2013-2019), a popular sitcom on Mazhavil Manorama. She won the Kerala State Television Award for her performance as Thankam in the sitcom Aliyan vs Aliyan (2017-2019).
