The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Ping-pong diplomacy refers to the exchange of table tennis (ping-pong) players between the United States (US) and People's Republic of China (PRC) in the early 1970s, that began during the 1971 World Table Tennis Championships in Nagoya, Japan as a result of an encounter between players Glenn Cowan and Zhuang Zedong. The exchange and its promotion helped to humanize the people in each country after a period of isolation and distrust. It paved the way for President Richard Nixon's visit to Beijing in 1972, and is considered a turning point in relations between the United States and the People's Republic of China.
Wang Junxia is a Chinese former long-distance runner who is the current world record holder at 3,000 meters. She also held the world record for the 10,000 meters for 23 years, between 1993 and 2016. Her best years lay between 1991 and 1996. Wang was coached by Ma Junren until 1995 and by Mao Dezhen from 1995 to her retirement after the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Yuka Sato is a Japanese former competitive figure skater and choreographer. She is the 1994 World champion, the 1990 World Junior champion and the 1993 & 1994 Japanese national champion. She placed 7th at the 1992 Winter Olympics and 5th at the 1994 Winter Olympics.
The Olympisch Stadion or Kielstadion[ˈkilstaːdijɔn]) was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. For those games, it hosted the athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting and korfball (demonstration) events. Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.
Mao Asada is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. She is the 2010 Olympic silver medalist, a three-time World champion, a three-time Four Continents champion, and a four-time Grand Prix Final champion. She is the first female figure skater who has landed three triple Axel jumps in one competition, which she achieved at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Nobuo Satō is a Japanese figure skater and coach. He is a ten-time Japanese national champion. He represented Japan at the 1960 Winter Olympics, where he placed 14th, and at the 1964 Winter Olympics, where he placed 8th. His best finish at the World Championships was 4th in 1965.
Hikari no Densetsu is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Izumi Aso about a girl named Hikari Kamijou who dreams of becoming a national rhythmic gymnastics champion. The manga series title translates into English as "Legend of Light". In the mid 80s, the manga series was adapted into a nineteen episode anime series produced by Tatsunoko Productions, directed by Tomomi Mochizuki and broadcast on TV Asahi.
Finland first participated at the Olympic Games in 1908, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games and every Winter Olympic Games since then. Finland was also the host nation for the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Finnish athletes have won a total of 305 medals at the Summer Games, mostly in athletics and wrestling. Finland has also won 175 medals at the Winter Games, mostly in nordic skiing events.

Kusumawardhani was part of Indonesia winning team at the inaugural Sudirman Cup, also the women's team event of Southeast Asian Games in 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1993.
Djibouti has participated in nine Summer Olympic Games as of the completion of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. They have never competed in the Winter Olympic Games. Djibouti debuted at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States of America with three athletes, but did not take home a medal. The highest number of Djiboutian athletes participating in a summer Games is eight in the 1992 games in Barcelona, Spain. Only one Djiboutian athlete has ever won a medal at the Olympics, marathon runner Hussein Ahmed Salah, who won a bronze medal in the 1988 marathon.
Mao Xinyuan is a retired male race walker from PR China. He competed for his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Mohamed Fadl Al-Moula El-Sir Abdalla or simply Mohamed El-Sir Abdalla, nicknamed Kaunda, is a Sudanese former footballer. He competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics with the Sudan national team. He was most well known for his rivalry with AbdelGader Mao from the country Somalia. Kaunda and AbdelGader's rivalry continued into the next generation with Mohamed Tareg Uthman Idris and Harun Mao rivalry.
Mao Yanling is a Chinese former gymnast. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, where she finished 19th in the individual all around.
Mao Shimada is a Japanese figure skater. She is the 2023 World Junior champion, the 2022 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist, the 2022 Japanese national bronze medalist, and a two-time Japanese junior national champion (2021–2022). She is the twenty-first woman in history to have successfully landed a triple Axel jump in competition.
