"Sanam Re" is an Indian Hindi-language song written and composed by Mithoon from the 2016 soundtrack album to the film of the same name. The song is sung by Arijit Singh. The track was officially released on 22 December 2015. [1]
The song has been sampled in several hip hop songs, particularly in the subgenre of drill. It was first sampled in "Exposing Me" (2018) by Chicago drill rapper Memo600, which was remixed in a 2019 version featuring King Von. [2] Further remixes of "Exposing Me" were made by FBG Duck, featuring Rooga, and 22Gz. American rapper CJ sampled the song in his track "Whoopty" (2020). [3] Other notable samples include "Vergeet De Buurt Nooit" by Lijpe and "Face To Face" by Italian rapper Rondodasosa. [4]

Neha Kakkar Singh is an Indian singer. She is the younger sister of playback singers Tony Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. She began performing at a very early age at religious events. In 2005, she participated in the second season of the singing reality show, Indian Idol. She made her Bollywood debut as a chorus singer in the film Meerabai Not Out. She rose to prominence with the release of the dance track "Second Hand Jawaani" from Cocktail (2012), which was followed by several popular party songs, including "Sunny Sunny" from Yaariyan and "London Thumakda" from the 2014 soundtrack album Queen. Apart from playback singing, Kakkar has appeared in several music videos and as a judge on several television reality shows, including "Indian Idol".

Brooklyn drill is a regional subgenre of drill music, which is a subgenre of rap music. It centered in Brooklyn, New York, that began as derivative of the drill music scene in Chicago and later became derivative of UK drill with its 808 percussion and sliding notes by producers from the UK drill scene. Brooklyn drill emerged around 2014 with the single "Hot Nigga" from the rapper Bobby Shmurda. Other early contributors were Rowdy Rebel, Envy Caine, Jezz Gasoline, Bam Bino, Money Millz, Dah Dah and Curly Savv.

Pagglait is the soundtrack album composed by playback singer Arijit Singh, in his debut as a music composer. It is the soundtrack for the 2021 Hindi-language black comedy film of the same name released on Netflix. Directed by Umesh Bist and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga, Achin Jain of Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment, the film stars Sanya Malhotra, Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana and Raghubir Yadav in lead roles. Singh wrote the lyrics for some of the songs along with Neelesh Misra which had 24 tracks in total; eight original songs, two revisited and reprised versions of three tracks, originally composed, and 12 instrumental compositions from the film's background score. The soundtrack was released through Arijit's own label Oriyon Music on 10 March 2021 to positive critical response.
