Sandro Parcaroli (born 28 November 1956) is an Italian entrepreneur and politician. [1] [2]
Member of the right-wing party Lega Nord,he ran for Mayor of Macerata at the 2020 Italian local elections,supported by a centre-right coalition. [1] [2] He was elected at the first round with 52.78% and took office on 24 September 2020. [3] [4] [5]

The name derives from the area of origin,the comune of Visso in the Monti Sibillini;it was traditionally raised mostly in that area,but flocks ranged into Lazio,Tuscany and Umbria. The Sopravissana derives from the cross-breeding of local ewes with Spanish and Rambouillet Merino rams in the 18th century. It is larger than the Vissana breed from the same area.
