Sanjay Prasad Krishnamurthi (born June 2,2003) is an American international cricketer who plays for the United States cricket team as an all-rounder. [1] He represents the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket.
Alongside cricket,he is also a software engineer,having completed a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the San Jose State University in 2025. [2] [3]
In June 2021,he was selected to take part in the Minor League Cricket tournament for the Bay Blazers following the players' draft. [4] [5]
In September 2021,Sanjay was named as a reserve player in the United States' One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2021 Oman Tri-Nation Series. [6] Following an injury to team-mate Aaron Jones,he was added to the main ODI squad for the tour. [7] He made his ODI debut on September 13,2021 against Nepal. [8]
On July 8,2024,Sanjay made his Twenty20 (T20) debut for the San Francisco Unicorns in the Major League Cricket tournament against the Los Angeles Knight Riders. [9]
He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for the United States on February 20,2025 against Oman. [10]
In 2025,Sanjay made his Nepal Premier League (NPL) representing the Janakpur Bolts. [11] He also made his International League T20 (ILT20) debut in the 2025–26 season for MI Emirates replacing injured Tajinder Dhillon. [12]
