Sapana, also known as Sapana Punia (born 2 January 1988) is a female racewalker from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. She competed in the Women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China. [1] She competed in the 20 km walk at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but did not finish. [2] [3] [4] She set a national record in the 20 km walk at the 2015 National Games with at time of 1:40:35.70. [5] [6]

Punia is also a sub-inspector in the Rajasthan Police. [2] [3]

Originally she won a bronze medal, but after Russia's Olga Kaniskina was disqualified in March 2016 for doping, she was awarded the silver medal, and with the subsequent disqualification of Elena Lashmanova she was promoted to gold. She also finished in 5th place at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Qieyang Shijie finished 7th at 2020 Summer Olympics.

Evan Dunfee is a Canadian race walker and Olympian. An Olympic and World medallist, Dunfee first set the Canadian record in the 50 kilometres race walk at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he placed fourth. He went on to win bronze medals at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and the 2020 Summer Olympics, both of those the last time the 50 km was to be featured as an event.

Eiki Takahashi is a male Japanese racewalker. He competed in the 20 kilometres walk event at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China. On December 13, 2015, he set the Asian record for the 10,000m race walk on a track. In 2016, he was the #1 ranked walker in the world for 20 km. As a result of his fast time in February, he was considered Japan's next great walking hope, replacing teammate world record holder Yusuke Suzuki. He walked in the 2016 Olympics where he walked with the lead (chase) pack until almost 14 km when eventual winner Cai Zelin broke the race open. Takahashi eventually finished 42nd.

Rhydian Cowley is an Australian race walker born in Glen Waverley, Victoria who specialises in the 50 kilometres race walk and 20 kilometres race walk. Cowley competed in the 2013 World Championships in Moscow and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. For both of his major championship competitions, Cowley qualified in the 20 kilometres race walk. He has also competed at a Summer Universiade, five World Race Walking Cups, and a World Junior Championships. In 2021, he competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where he finished in 8th in the men's 50 kilometres walk with a new personal best time of 3:52.01 just 113 seconds behind the eventual winner Dawid Tomala of Poland.

Ángela Melania Castro Chirivechz is a Bolivian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics finishing in 18th place. It was the best result ever for Bolivia in Olympic athletics. She was the flag bearer for Bolivia during both the opening ceremony and closing ceremony.

Tanya Holliday is an Australian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2016, she finished in 15th place in the women's 20 km walk at the 2016 IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships held in Rome, Italy.

Ana Veronica Rodean is a Romanian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2018, she competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2018 European Athletics Championships held in Berlin, Germany. She finished in 19th place.

Yehualeye Beletew Mitiku is an Ethiopian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2019, she competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. She finished in 16th place. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Wayne Snyman is a South African race walker. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 20 km walk. He finished in 58th place with a time of 1:29:20. In 2019, he competed in the men's 20 kilometres walk at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. He finished in 38th place.
