The Drifters are an American doo-wop and R&B/soul vocal group. They were originally formed as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter, formerly the lead tenor of Billy Ward and his Dominoes in 1953. The second group of Drifters, formed in 1959 and led by Ben E. King, were originally an up-and-coming group named The Five Crowns. After 1965 members drifted in and out of both groups and many of these formed other groups of Drifters as well. Over the succeeding decades, several different bands, all called the Drifters, can trace roots back to these original groups, but contain few—if any—original members.
"(You're the) Devil in Disguise" is a 1963 single by Elvis Presley. It was written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum and Florence Kaye and was published by Elvis Presley Music in June 1963. The song peaked at No. 3 in the US on the Billboard singles chart on August 10, 1963, and No. 9 on the Billboard Rhythm and Blues singles chart, becoming his last top ten single on those charts. The single was certified "Gold" by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 units in the US. The song also topped Japan's Utamatic record chart in the fall of 1963. In June 1963, when the song was debuted to a British audience on the BBC television show Juke Box Jury, celebrity guest John Lennon, leader of The Beatles, voted the song "a miss" stating on the new song that Elvis Presley was "like Bing Crosby now". The song went on to reach No. 1 in the UK for a single week.
"It Might as Well Rain Until September" is a 1962 song originally written for Bobby Vee by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. King recorded the demo version of the song and it became a hit for her. However, Vee's management balked at releasing the song as a single, instead using it only as an album track. Bobby Vee recorded the song the same year for his 1963 Liberty album The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.
"(I'm a) Road Runner" is a hit song by Junior Walker & the Allstars, and was the title track of the successful 1966 album Road Runner. Written by the team of Holland–Dozier–Holland, it was released on the Tamla (Motown) label in 1966 and reached the top twenty in the U.S. and the UK.
"Gråt inga tårar" is a song written by Åke Hallgren in the dansband Pippis from Hede, and recorded and a released a single by several dansbands in 1974, including Pippis, Dannys and Thorleifs. Pippis also recorded the song on the 1975 album Ordning på torpet.
"På gatan där jag bor" is a song by Swedish singer Lena Philipsson from her studio album Det gör ont en stund på natten men inget på dan (2004). Written by Orup and produced by Johan Åberg, "På gatan där jag bor" was released as the album's fourth and final single on 5 January 2005 through Columbia and Sony Music.
"Du får göra som du vill" is a song written by Patrik Isaksson and recorded by himself for his 1999 debut album När verkligheten tränger sig på. The song was awarded a Grammis award for "Song of the year 1999".
"Ännu doftar kärlek" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, issued on 15 May 1984. Fredriksson had previously been lead vocalist for two commercially unsuccessful rock bands, Strul (Trivial) and MaMas Barn. Following the disbandment of the latter group, she signed a recording contract as a solo artist with EMI Svenska, who released "Ännu doftar kärlek" as the lead single from her debut studio album, Het vind (1984).
"Visit to Vienna" is a song recorded by Sahara Hotnights on their 2007 studio album What If Leaving Is a Loving Thing (2007). Released as the second single from the album, it peaked at 49th position at the Swedish singles chart. The song was written by bandmembers Maria Andersson and Josephine Forsman, and was produced while collaboration with Björn Yttling.
"Fröken Fräken" is a song written by Thore Skogman and recorded by Sven-Ingvars, who released it as a single in 1964. Their version charted at Svensktoppen for six weeks between 21 November 1964 and 9 January 1965, peaking at first position.
"Safe in My Garden" is a song written by John Phillips and recorded by The Mamas and the Papas. The single was briefly in the Top 100 pop chart in the United States. AllMusic.com calls the song "One of the group's finest latter-day records."
"Explodera" is a song written and recorded by Staffan Hellstrand, acting as official fight song for the Sweden men's national team during the 2000 UEFA European Soccer Championship in Belgium and the Netherlands. The single peaked at number eight on the Swedish Singles Chart, and also appeared on the 2000 compilation album Staffan Hellstrands bästa.
"Sommarnatt" is a song written by Lars "Dille" Diedricson and Torben Ferm, and originally recorded by Snowstorm. Originally, it was released on the album Sommarnatt in 1980, and as a single the same year, with the B-side being "Message", an English-language version of the same song. The single peaked at number two in the Swedish singles chart.
"Äntligen" is a pop rock song by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 20 March 2000 by EMI as the lead single from her first greatest hits compilation album, Äntligen – Marie Fredrikssons bästa 1984–2000. The track was written and produced by Fredriksson alongside her husband Mikael Bolyos, and recorded at the couple's home studio in Djursholm. The song was a minor hit in her home country upon release, peaking at number 34 and spending eight weeks on the Swedish Singles Chart. A remixed version of the song, titled "Solen gick ner över stan", appeared as the b-side; an edited version of this remix also appeared as a bonus track on the parent compilation.
Finalmente is a song written by Ricky Gianco, Dante Pieretti and Gianni Sanjust, and recorded by Wilma Goich in 1968. Britt Lindeborg wrote lyrics in Swedish as Tycker om dig, and the song was recorded by Sylvia Vrethammar, releasing it as a B-side for the 1969 single Lärling på våran gård. With these lyrics the song was also recorded by Swedish band the Drifters on 2008 album. Tycker om dig: Svängiga låtar från förr.
På vårt sätt is a studio album from Scotts, released on 19 December 2008. The album topped the Swedish albums chart between 2 and 23 January 2009. The album featured the single "Om igen", peaking at number 27 on the Swedish Singles Chart and also charting at Svensktoppen. The other recordings were cover versions, many of them of songs performed by Scotts during Dansbandskampen 2008.

"En tuff brud i lyxförpackning" is a song written by Simon Brehm, Sven Paddock and Gösta Stevens, and originally recorded by Lill-Babs. Her version was released in August 1961 with the film Svenska Floyd.
"Sleep Little Girl" is the debut single by the Swedish rock band Tages. It was written by Tommy Blom and released on 16 October 1964. The initial recording was made at a Youth center at Nylöse, a neighborhood of Gothenburg, Sweden's second biggest city, and the song has professionally been re-recorded in a studio twice.
Tom & Mick were a Swedish band formed in 1965 in Enköping, Sweden. They were only active for three years though managed to release an album and a handful of singles, of which "Please, Please, Please" became their first hit. During their last two active years, they were fronted by Tommy Körberg (Tom) and Michael Johansson (Mick), one of the first dual-vocalist pop groups in Sweden at the time Retrospectively, they are best known for their single "Somebody's Taken Maria Away" which topped the Swedish charts, and for starting the career of Körberg, who would go on to become one of the most well known musicians in Sweden.
