Satya Prakash has portrayed negative characters in over five hundred films across eleven languages. [2] [3] He made his directorial debut with Ullala Ullala (2020) starring his son Nataraj and Noorin Shereef. [4]

He acted as an antagonist in several films such as Jayam Manade Raa (2000) and Chennakesava Reddy (2002). Later in his career, he was also featured in many comic roles. He died at his home in Guntur on 8 September 2020, at an age of 74, from massive cardiac arrest. He was honoured with Special Jury Award (Alexander) for his contribution to Tollywood at the 16th Santosham Film Awards.

Rama Rama Re... is a 2016 Indian Kannada film written and directed by D Satya Prakash. It is a story of a convict on death row, who escapes from prison and accidentally ends up traveling with a retired veteran of a Police Department, who is called upon by the authorities to teach the process of executing a convict to the new staff. Rama Rama Re... was released on 21 October 2016. The film was remade in Telugu in 2018 as Aatagadharaa Siva by Rockline Venkatesh. The film is currently being remade in Marathi.

Man of the Match is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language satire black comedy written and directed by D. Satya Prakash. Movie produced under PRK Productions banner. The film stars Nataraj S. Bhat, Dharmanna Kadooru, Atharva Prakash, Mayuri Nataraj, Shridatta, Brunda vikram. Satya Prakash uses a film-within-a-film narrative where the main actors play fictionalised versions of themselves. Frustrated over the fact that his acting career not taking off, Nataraj decides to produce a film with his actor friend Dharmanna. The day of auditions in a huge studio provides more drama and surprises than expected, as Nataraj has something different on his mind.

Yamalokadalli Veerappan is a 1998 Indian Kannada-language mythological action drama film directed by H C Prakash. The film's story is partly inspired by Veerappan's life and stars Dheerendra Gopal, Sarigama Viji, Satya Prakash and Akhila.
