Saud Qasmi, simply known as Saud, is a Pakistani film, TV actor and TV producer.

Active in the film industry since 1993, he has acted in over 150 films as well numerous television serials. [1]

Early life and family

Saud was born in Karachi, Pakistan. [1]

He belongs to the Siddiqi family with his roots in the Nanauta town of Uttar Pradesh, India and which has played a role in Islamic scholarship: His great-great-grandfather Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi was one of the co-founders of the influential Deobandi movement, his great-grandfather Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad was a scholar, [2] [3] his father Zahir Qasim was a famous qari and naat khawan known for his work for Radio Pakistan, while his uncles, the late Shakir Qasmi and Waheed Zafar Qasmi, have also been active in these fields. [4]

He's himself a hafiz-e-Quran. [5]

On 25 December 2006, Saud married TV Actress Javeria Jalil, now known as Javeria Saud. They have a daughter named Jannat born in 2007, and a son named Ibrahim born in 2011. [1]

Yeh Zindagi Hai is a Pakistani Urdu language comedy-drama television series that showed on Geo Entertainment from 2008 to 2013. It initially starred Javeria Saud, Saud Qasmi, Moammar Rana, Hina Dilpazeer, and Sana Fakhar. It became one of the longest-running television series in the history of Pakistani television, showing for six and a half years with more than 300 episodes. Yeh Zindagi Hai was hugely popular from its premier and made its leading actress, Javeria Saud, an overnight star.

Javeria Saud is a Pakistani television actress, producer, screenwriter, singer, and host. She is best known for playing the protagonist Jameela in Geo TV's television drama series Yeh Zindagi Hai (2008–13). She is married to the film and television actor Saud, with whom she owns the production house JJS Productions since 2006 in the Pakistani entertainment industry. She took a break from acting in 2001, and made a comeback in 2006. In 2011, she co-produced Khuda Aur Muhabbat with Babar Javed.

Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi is a Pakistani Qari and na'at khawan, a performer of poetry in praise of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Qasmi recites in both in Urdu and Arabic languages.

Madrassa Shahi is an Islamic seminary in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1879 by the poor Muslims of Moradabad under the supervision of Islamic scholar, Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi, who also established the Darul Uloom Deoband. This started as Madrasatul Ghuraba, but gained recognition as Madrasa Shahi. Its first principal was Ahmad Hasan Amrohi.

Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad (1862–1928) was an Indian Muslim scholar, who served as the Vice Chancellor of the Darul Uloom Deoband for thirty five years. He was the Grand Mufti of the Hyderabad State from 1922 to 1925.

Ishtiaque Ahmad Qasmi is an Indian Islamic scholar, mufti, and writer. He has been serving as a teacher at Darul Uloom Deoband since 2008. He is an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband and Maulana Azad National Urdu University.
