The Scorpio and Jones families are fictional families on the American soap opera General Hospital , which is set in the fictional town of Port Charles, New York. Over time, the two families intertwined and became one large blended family, often referred to as the Scorpio/Jones family. The Scorpio family was introduced in December 1980 by head writers Pat Falken Smith and Margaret DePriest, when Robert Scorpio arrived in town to assist Luke Spencer in locating a rare diamond called the Ice Princess. Four years later, the Jones family was introduced in 1984 by Gloria Monty when Frisco Jones arrived in town after he is hired to be the lead singer for "Blackie and the Riff Raff". The Scorpio and Jones families are known for their many adventures, with members of both families working as secret agents with the fictional World Security Bureau (WSB).

Georgie Jones is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She is the daughter of supercouple Frisco and Felicia Jones. Previously played by various child actresses, Georgie is primarily portrayed by Lindze Letherman, who appeared from September 3, 2002 to December 18, 2007. Letherman temporarily returned in 2010, 2013, and 2018.
Maxie Jones is a fictional character from the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She is the eldest daughter of supercouple Frisco Jones and Felicia Cummings, raised most of her life by Mac Scorpio. The role was first portrayed by Robyn Richards for eleven years, from 1993 to 2004. The role was then recast with Kirsten Storms. In 2011, Storms took an extended medical leave, resulting in the temporary recasting of the character with Jen Lilley. Storms has since returned to the role. Twins Kevin and Chuckie Gravino appeared in the role from 1989 to 1994, with Kevin and Christopher Graves pinch-hitting in 1990. Jay Sacane portrayed the role from 1994 to 1996, with Justin Cooper (1996–1998) and Logan O'Brien (1998–2002) acting as his successors in the role. Following O'Brien's exit, the character was rapidly aged when Evan Bonifant assumed the role and was quickly replaced after two-months by C.J. Thomason, who exited in 2003. The character was introduced in April 2014 by executive producer, Frank Valentini under head writer, Ron Carlivati as a quirky environmentalist from Australia going by the name Levi Dunkleman. "Levi" comes to town as the new boyfriend of the recently returned Maxie Jones and he develops a rivalry with her roommate and potential love interest, Nathan West. On August 26, 2014, it is revealed onscreen that Levi is the son of Felicia's late fiancé, Peter Harrell played by Judson Scott from 1984 to 1985.

Created by head writer Ron Carlivati, Nathan was introduced in late 2013 by Frank Valentini as a love interest for Maxie Jones. In January 2018, Paevey announced he had opted to leave the serial of his own decision.
