The Republican Party of Minnesota is the state affiliate of the Republican Party in Minnesota and the oldest active political party in the state. Founded in 1855, the party is headquartered in Edina, and the current chairman is David Hann.

When Rokita was elected to office in 2002 at age 32, he became the youngest secretary of state in the United States at the time.

He won reelection to a second term in 2019. In 2023, he won reelection to a third term in office.

Braun defeated McCormick with 54.5 percent of the vote in the general election.
