Scott Maxwell (born January 20, 1964), is a Canadian auto racing driver.
Scott has competed and won titles in Formula Vee (1984), Formula Ford 1600 (1985 and 1986), Canadian National Showroom Stock (1992 and 1993) and Grand-Am/Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge GS (2002 and 2008, 2016). He also contested the Canadian GM Challenge, Porsche Carrera Cup and Pro Formula Ford 2000 series from 1986 through 1990. He made a single Indy Lights start in 1992.
One of the highlights of Maxwell's career came in 2000 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans when he won the LMP 675 class [1] for Multimatic Motorsports aboard a Nissan-powered Lola with fellow Canadians John Graham and Greg Wilkins.
In 2003, Scott Maxwell along with David Empringham and David Brabham won the first ever Daytona Prototype race at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. However, The Racer's Group GT-class Porsche 911 won overall honors in that race. He also contested the American Le Mans Series with Panoz in 2003 [2] and Krohn-Barbour Racing (Lamborghini) in 2004 as well as contesting several Rolex Sports Car Series events for Multimatic Daytona Prototype customers. 2003 was to also see Maxwell make his NASCAR Winston Cup Series debut, but he failed to qualify the #43 car for Petty Enterprises at Watkins Glen International.
The Canadian co-drove with Grand Am Cup Champion David Empringham in 2005 aboard a Multimatic Motorsports entered factory Ford Mustang FR500C. Maxwell missed out on sharing the title because he skipped one race to compete at Le Mans for Panoz Motor Sports.
In 2006, Maxwell clinched another milestone victory for Multimatic Motorsports when he teamed with David Brabham and Sébastien Bourdais to win the GT2 class at the 2006 12 Hours of Sebring. [3] In 2008 he won the Grand American Road Racing KONI Sports Car Challenge driver's championship with partner Joe Foster aboard the Hypersports Mustang FR500C run in cooperation with Multimatic Motorsports. Maxwell clinched the 2016 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge GS championship co-driving with Billy Johnson in the Ford Performance Shelby GT350R-C.
Maxwell drove for Multimatic Motorsports with Sebastian Priaulx in a Ford Mustang in the GT4 class in the 2019 British GT Championship. They were in contention for the class title but missed out by just 8.5 points from Tom Canning and Ash Hand, despite finishing ahead of their rivals in the finale. [4]

David Philip Brabham is an Australian racing driver and one of the most successful and experienced specialists in sports car racing. He has won three international Sports Car series and is one of four Australians to have won the Le Mans 24 Hour sports car race, winning the event in 2009. Brabham won the American Le Mans Series in 2009 and 2010. He also competed in Formula One, racing for the Brabham and Simtek teams in 1990 and 1994, respectively. Brabham is the youngest son of three-time Formula One world champion Sir Jack Brabham, brother to Geoff Brabham and Gary Brabham. He is also brother-in-law to Mike Thackwell, father to Sam Brabham and uncle to Matthew Brabham.
Panoz is an American manufacturer of luxury sports automobiles founded in 1989 as Panoz Auto Development by Dan Panoz, son of Don Panoz. The company has also been extensively involved in professional racing, and designs, engineers and builds its own race cars. Panoz products have included the Panoz Roadster and AIV Roadster, the Panoz Esperante, and the Panoz Avezzano.
The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) is a North American sports car racing sanctioning body based in Daytona Beach, Florida under the jurisdiction of the ACCUS arm of the FIA. It was started by John Bishop, a former executive director of SCCA, and his wife Peggy in 1969 with help from Bill France Sr. of NASCAR. Beginning in 2014, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier series resulting from the merger of Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series. IMSA is owned by NASCAR, as a division of the company.
Bill Auberlen is an American factory race car driver known for his affiliation with BMW, driving cars made and run by the famous German marque for a number of years. Auberlen currently competes for Turner Motorsport in the IMSA SportsCar Championship and Michelin Pilot Challenge. He is the winningest driver in IMSA history.
Krohn Racing is a professional sports car racing team based in Houston, Texas. The 2003 Rolex 24 at Daytona was a Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series 24-hour endurance sports car race held on February 1–2, 2003 at the Daytona International Speedway road course. The race served as the first round of the 2003 Rolex Sports Car Series. The race saw the debut of the Daytona Prototype as the new top class of the series. However, the new cars proved only marginally faster than the lower classes and suffered frequent mechanical failures during the race, allowing a car from the GT class to take overall victory. Overall victory and victory in the GT class went to the No. 66 Porsche 996 GT3-RS from The Racer's Group, driven by Kevin Buckler, Michael Schrom, Jörg Bergmeister, and Timo Bernhard. The Daytona Prototype class was won by the No. 88 Multimatic MDP1 from Multimatic driven by Scott Maxwell, David Brabham, and David Empringham. The SRP II class was won by the No. 5 Lola-Nissan from Team Seattle/Essex Racing, driven by Ross Bentley, Don Kitch Jr., Joe Pruskowski, and Justin Pruskowski. Finally, the GTS class was won by the No. 24 Mosler MT900 from Perspective Racing, driven by Jérôme Policand, Michel Neugarten, João Barbosa, and Andy Wallace.
