Sena I was King of Anuradhapura in the 9th century, whose reign lasted from 846 to 866. He succeeded his brother Aggabodhi IX as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by his nephew Sena II.
Sena and Guttika were two Tamil chiefs from South India who invaded the kingdom of Anuradhapura and killed King Suratissa. They reigned from 237 BC to 215 BC. They were originally two traders who came to Sri Lanka to sell horses; however, they killed Surathissa, the king of Anuradhapura, and ruled the kingdom for 22 years. King Asela defeated them and re-established the kingdom as a Sinhalese monarchy.
Upatissagāma was the second capital of the Kingdom of Tambapanni, during the Pre Anuradhapura period of Sri Lanka. It was seven or eight miles further north of the previous capital Tambapaṇṇī, which was in present-day Puttalam. The city was established by Upatissa, a follower and senior minister of Vijaya.
Kuda Tissa was a king of Anuradhapura, the first established kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka. He ruled in the 1st century BC, between 50 BC to 47 BC. He succeeded his uncle Chora Naga as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by Siva I.
