Central Java is a province of Indonesia, located in the middle of the island of Java. Its administrative capital is Semarang. It is bordered by West Java in the west, the Indian Ocean and the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the south, East Java in the east, and the Java Sea in the north. It has a total area of 33,750.37 km2, with a population of 36,516,035 at the 2020 Census making it the third-most populous province in both Java and Indonesia after West Java and East Java. The official population estimate in mid-2023 was 37,608,336 The province also includes a number of offshore islands, including the island of Nusakambangan in the south, and the Karimun Jawa Islands in the Java Sea.
Surakarta, known colloquially as Solo, is a major city in Central Java, Indonesia. The 46.72 km2 (18.04 sq mi) city adjoins Karanganyar Regency and Boyolali Regency to the north, Karanganyar Regency and Sukoharjo Regency to the east and west, and Sukoharjo Regency to the south. On the eastern side of Solo lies Solo River. Its metropolitan area, consisting of Surakarta City and the surrounding six regencies, was home to 6,837,753 inhabitants according to the official estimates for mid 2023, 526,870 of whom reside in the city proper.

Jockie Soerjoprajogo was an Indonesian musician and songwriter. Jockie began his musical career while a junior high school student in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. After working with bands in Jakarta and Surabaya, in 1973, he joined with Ahmad Albar, Donny Fattah and Ludwig Leeman to form God Bless; he would remain with this band intermittently until the 2000s. Jockie also worked with artists such as Chrisye and Iwan Fals, ultimately writing two songs—"Kehidupan" ("Life") and "Kesaksian" ("Witness")—that were listed by Rolling Stone Indonesia as among the best Indonesian songs of all time.

The GaikindoIndonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is an annual auto show held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang Regency, Banten, Indonesia. Organized by Seven Events, and hosted by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO) hence its name, the show was spun off from the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) since 2015. The show also spawned two spin-offs; a series of roadshow events in major Indonesian capital cities since its establishment, later known as GIIAS The Series since 2019, including Bandung, Makassar, Medan, Semarang and Surabaya, as well formerly Samarinda; and a smaller-scale event since 2022, known as the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW).

The 2021 Menpora Cup was a pre-season tournament held by the PSSI ahead of the 2021 Liga 1. The tournament started on 21 March and finished with a two-legged final on 22 and 25 April 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all matches were played behind closed doors. The 2021 edition was the second edition of Menpora Cup, with the first edition being held in 2013 which was won by Arema who defeated Australian side Central Coast Mariners by 2–1 in the final.

Widi Prasetijono is an Indonesian military officer who has served as the commander of the army doctrine, education, and training leadership command since 24 December 2023. Prior to his appointment, Widi served as the commander of the Diponegoro Regional Military Command from 2022 to 2023. Widi entered the army in 1993 and had held command of Kopassus and territorial units. He was noted for his closeness with President Joko Widodo due to his position as Surakarta military commander during the mayoralty of Joko Widodo and as Joko Widodo's aide-de-camp.
Iwan Setiawan is an Indonesian politician of the Gerindra Party who was the regent of Bogor Regency between 2022 and 2023, mostly as acting mayor replacing Ade Yasin who had been arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission. Prior to becoming mayor, Setiawan had been Yasin's vice mayor between 2018 and 2022, and was a member of the regency's Regional House of Representatives for two terms since 2009.
