"Sev" ("Love") was the Turkish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 1995, held in Dublin, Ireland. The song was composed and conducted by Melih Kibar.

The song was performed tenth on the night of the contest, following Spain's Anabel Conde with "Vuelve conmigo" and preceding Croatia's Magazin & Lidija with "Nostalgija". The song received 21 points, placing 16th in a field of 25.

The song was succeeded as Turkish representative at the 1996 contest by Şebnem Paker with "Beşinci mevsim".

The Eurovision Song Contest 1995 was the 40th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following the country's victory at the 1994 contest with the song "Rock 'n' Roll Kids" by Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan. It was the sixth time that Ireland had hosted the contest, having previously done so in 1971, 1981, 1988, 1993 and 1994. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), the contest was held at the Point Theatre, with the final on 13 May 1995. Mor ve ötesi is a Turkish alternative rock band from Istanbul. Its four current members are Harun Tekin, Kerem Kabadayı (drums), Burak Güven (bass) and Kerem Özyeğen. Former members include Alper Tekin and Derin Esmer. The band achieved mainstream success with the release of the album Dünya Yalan Söylüyor. In 2008, the band represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade with the song "Deli" (Insane).

Ohannes Tunçboyacı, better known as Onno Tunç, was a leading Armenian-Turkish musician, working mainly as a composer, arranger and a music producer. Tunç also played bass guitar and occasionally double bass, contributing to the albums of several musicians. He was one of the prominent names of Turkish pop music in the 1980s and 1990s with his arrangements. He was the elder brother of musician Arto Tunçboyacıyan.
