"Nostalgija" ("Nostalgia") was the Croatian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995, performed in Croatian by Magazin and Lidija.

The song was performed eleventh on the night, following Turkey's Arzu Ece with "Sev" and preceding France's Nathalie Santamaria with "Il me donne rendez-vous". At the close of voting, it had received 91 points, placing 6th in a field of 23.

The song is inspired by the proverb "Silence makes the heart grow fonder", with the performers singing about the nostalgia felt for an absent lover.

It was succeeded as Croatian representative at the 1996 contest by Maja Blagdan with "Sveta ljubav".

Kvalifikacija za Millstreet

Kvalifikacija za Millstreet was the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1993. Seven countries took part, none of which had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest before, although songs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia had represented Yugoslavia in past contests. Three qualified for the annual Eurovision in Millstreet, Ireland. It was held on 3 April 1993 at the RTV SLO Broadcasting Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The presenter Tajda Lekše hosted the programme in English, French and Slovene.

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Vukovi umiru sami" written by Franjo Valentić and Boris Novković. The song was performed by Boris Novković and Lado Members. Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2005 in order to select the Croatian entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. The national final consisted of three rounds: a quarter-final between 7 and 25 February 2005, two semi-finals on 12 and 13 March 2004 and a final on 14 March 2004. Twenty songs competed in the quarter-final and the top eighteen qualified to the semi-finals. Nine songs competed in each semi-final and the top seven qualified to the fourteen-song final. In the final, the combination of votes from a seven-member jury panel and a public televote selected "Vukovi umiru sami" performed by Boris Novković feat. Lado Members as the winner.

Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2004 in order to select the Croatian entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals on 12 and 13 March 2004 and a final on 14 March 2004. Twelve songs competed in each semi-final and the top six as determined by a regional televote and SMS vote qualified to the twelve-song final. In the final, regional televoting and SMS voting selected "Daješ mi krila" performed by Ivan Mikulić as the winner. The song was later translated from Croatian to English for the Eurovision Song Contest and was titled "You Are the Only One".

Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2002 in order to select the Croatian entry for the 2002 contest in Tallinn, Estonia. The national final took place on 10 March 2002. Twenty songs competed and a combination of votes from five regional juries, an expert jury, regional televoting and internet voting selected "Sasvim sigurna" performed by Vesna Pisarović as the winner. The song was later translated from Croatian to English for the Eurovision Song Contest and was titled "Everything I Want".

Croatia selected its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest through the Dora contest, which was held on 5 and 6 March 2010, organised by the Croatian national broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT). The winner of Dora was the girl group Feminnem with "Lako je sve".

The national final took place on 4 March 2001. Twenty songs competed and a combination of votes from five regional juries, an expert jury, regional televoting and internet voting selected "Strune ljubavi" performed by Vanna as the winner. The song was later translated from Croatian to English for the Eurovision Song Contest and was titled "Strings of My Heart".

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Croatian entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT). Klapa s Mora represented Croatia with the song "Mižerja", which failed to qualify from the first semi-final of the contest, placing 13th and scoring 38 points.

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Lighthouse" written by Andreas Grass and Nikola Paryla. The song was performed by Nina Kraljić. Croatia returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a two-year absence following their withdrawal in 2014 due to financial limitations and poor results at the contest. Nina Kraljić was selected internally by the Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) on 24 February 2016 to represent Croatia at the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Her song "Lighthouse" was presented to the public on 9 March 2016 during a special radio programme broadcast on the HR 2 station.

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, which took place in Kiev, Ukraine, in May 2017. After the successful return in 2016, Croatian national broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) confirmed on 17 September 2016 that they would also participate in 2017.

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Croatian national broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) used a national final in order to find the Croatian representative in Lisbon, after two consecutive years of internal selection. This decision was later reversed, and thus "Crazy" sung by Franka Batelić was internally selected.

Croatia originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The Croatian broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) used the national selection Dora 2020 to decide their representative. However, due to 2020 coronavirus pandemic, the contest was cancelled.

Divlji vjetre 2020 song

"Divlji vjetre" is a song performed by Croatian singer Damir Kedžo. The track was written and composed by Ante Pecotić. It premiered on 29 February 2020, when it was performed during the final of Dora 2020, Croatia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, and was released as a digital download on 1 March 2020 by Croatia Records.
