Shahrekord Shohada International Airport( IATA : CQD, ICAO : OIFS) is an airport in Shahrekord, Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province, Iran.

Shahrekord Airport is the highest airport in Iran with 6723 ft height. It is located 3 kilometers south of the city. The airport was operating in 1999.

The first domestic flight was in July 1999 by Iran Air Tours airline to Tehran, and first international flight was on 25 September 2002 to Kuwait International Airport.

It has an Asphalt runway that length 3298 meters and 45 meters width, and a taxiway with 23×285 meters dimensions. [1]

Iran Aseman Airlines Flight 3704 was a scheduled Iranian domestic passenger flight from Iranian capital Tehran Mehrabad International Airport to Yasuj in southwest Iran. On 18 February 2018, during its approach to Yasuj, the aircraft serving the flight, an ATR 72-212 operated by Iran Aseman Airlines, crashed into Mount Dena in the Zagros Mountains near Noqol village in Semirom county, Isfahan Province. All 66 people on board, including 60 passengers and 6 crew members, were killed.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">RED Air Flight 203</span> 2022 aviation incident

RED Air Flight 203 (L5203/REA203) was a scheduled international commercial passenger flight from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to Miami International Airport by RED Air. On 21 June 2022, the McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft operating the service suffered a left landing gear collapse and runway excursion, causing the left wing of the aircraft to impact an antenna structure, followed by a subsequent fire on the right side of the airplane. The incident caused three people to be hospitalized with minor injuries.
