Shaman King: Power of Spirit is the second Shaman King game released on the PS2, while the first was Shaman King: Funbari Spirits, which was a Japan-exclusive cel-shaded fighter. Power of Spirit was developed for the 4Kids Entertainment dub by WinkySoft and published by Konami, and released only in the U.S. and Europe. Power of Spirit is one of the only "tactical RPG" Shaman King games ever made, aside from the Japan-exclusive strategy games for the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance.
Shaman King: Power of Spirit starts off when the Shaman Fight begins. The first chapters are mostly centered on the episodes that took place in the anime, but with a bit of a twist here and there, with some new villains joining the ranks. They are known as Force Millennium, and their mission is to find the vessel and acquire as much furyoku for their evil plan as possible; they have their sights set on Meril Inugami, an original character in the game who becomes a part of Yoh's team during their adventures together. Throughout the story, Yoh and his team must stop Force Millennium from awakening an ancient evil as old as time itself, but through this new adventure they will face obstacles and trials to make them stronger and more powerful than ever, in order to save their friend Meril from the clutches of Captain Vineuvall and the Five Sages.
Shaman King: Power of Spirit is a hybrid of a fighting game and a turn-based strategy game. When in battle, strategic elements are featured when the player is to move on a large grid to a certain position. When the player is in front of a specific enemy on the field grid, they can initiate an attack on them. This leads to a "fighting game" segment in which the player and that specific enemy battle. This portion of the game received criticism due to having few combos (resulting in repetitive gameplay) and bloated health bars. The battlefields are simple and square-shaped, with few objects, which led to more criticism. Before the gameplay, cutscenes will take place in which a large amount of dialogue will be covered to reflect a perfect amount of tension before the coming battle. Most of the cutscenes use still drawings and text, but the game also makes use of 3D models and/or voiceovers at times. At some points, it is known that the player will be fighting the spirit of a specific shaman instead of the shaman himself. Despite the added depth from certain special moves and the range of characters, Shaman King: Power of Spirit is generally regarded as mediocre, due to the aforementioned simple, repetitive fighting system, the long cutscenes made up of static images, and an overall lack of polish. Shaman King is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It follows the adventures of Yoh Asakura as he attempts to hone his shaman skills to become the Shaman King by winning the Shaman Fight. Takei chose shamanism as the main theme of the series because he wanted a topic that had never been attempted before in manga. The Shaman King manga was originally serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump between June 1998 and August 2004. The individual chapters were collected and released in 32 tankōbon volumes. In 2017, Kodansha acquired the rights to the series and re-launched it on 35 e-book volumes in 2018, also published in print since 2020.
Anna Kyōyama is a fictional character created by manga author Hiroyuki Takei. She appears in Shaman King as a primary character, while an alternate character with the same name and similar appearance appears in Butsu Zone, and Itako no Anna, a one-shot chapter which focuses on Anna. Takei notes in an interview, that she is like his own personal mascot or good luck charm, because Anna appears in so many of his works.
Yoh Asakura is a fictional character and protagonist of the manga series Shaman King created by Hiroyuki Takei. Yoh is a shaman with a lazy demeanor who is accompanied by a six-hundred-year-old samurai ghost, Amidamaru. When first introduced, Yoh appears as a young teenager who wishes to become the "Shaman King", the world's ruler, in an attempt to grant his own wish of living a peaceful life. However, as he befriends more people in the shaman fighting tournament to become the Shaman King, it is revealed Yoh has a twin brother named Hao Asakura whom he wishes to redeem. Yoh also appears in the prequel Shaman King Zero and in the sequel Shaman King Flowers, with the former being a story about his childhood and the latter being demoting him to cameo appearances as he travels around the world as his son, Hana, takes the leading role.
Street Fighter Alpha 3, released as Street Fighter Zero 3 in Japan, Asia, South America, and Oceania, is a 2D fighting game originally released by Capcom for the arcade in 1998. It is the third and final installment in the Street Fighter Alpha sub-series, which serves as a sequel to Street Fighter Alpha 2, and ran on the same CP System II hardware as previous Alpha games. The game was produced after the Street Fighter III sub-series has started, being released after 2nd Impact, but before 3rd Strike. Alpha 3 further expanded the playable fighter roster from Street Fighter Alpha 2 and added new features such as selectable fighting styles called "isms".

Hao Asakura, also known as Zeke Asakura in the English version of the 2001 anime, is a fictional character and the main antagonist in the manga and anime series Shaman King, created by Hiroyuki Takei. He is voiced by Minami Takayama in the Japanese version, Sebastian Arcelus in the English dub of the 2001 anime and Erica Mendez in the English dub of the 2021 anime. Hao is the ancestor of Yoh Asakura, the protagonist of the series, as well as his twin brother in his third life.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the title of five different video games based on the first season of the television series of the same name, one for each of the following game platforms: Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, Game Gear, and Sega CD. Shaman King: Legacy of the Spirits, Soaring Hawk and Shaman King: Legacy of the Spirits, Sprinting Wolf are role-playing video games based on the Shaman King manga and anime series. The games were released for the Game Boy Advance by Konami on February 8, 2005. Both Soaring Hawk and Sprinting Wolf feature the same story, gameplay, characters and locations. The difference is that each has its own set of spirits so to recruit all spirits the player has to trade them via Game Link Cable between the games.
Shaman King: Funbari Spirits, is a cel-shaded 2D style fighting game released in Japan only on April 4, 2004. It is not to be confused with Shaman King: Power of Spirit, a game produced by Konami to go along with the 4kids Entertainment dub. It is a pseudo-sequel to Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans, a 2D fighting game for the PlayStation. This game is based upon the manga. This is the last Shaman King game to be released in Japan.
In video games, a quick time event (QTE) is a method of context-sensitive gameplay in which the player performs actions on the control device shortly after the appearance of an on-screen instruction/prompt. It allows for limited control of the game character during cut scenes or cinematic sequences in the game. Infinity Blade is an action role-playing game developed by Chair Entertainment and Epic Games and released through the Apple App Store on December 9, 2010. It was the first iOS video game to run on the Unreal Engine. In the game, the unnamed player character fights a series of one-on-one battles in a derelict castle to face the immortal God King. When in battle, players swipe the screen to attack and parry, and tap the screen to dodge and block enemy attacks. Upon defeat, the player restarts the game as the character's descendant with the same items and experience level.

Xuan Dou Zhi Wang was an in-development online PC fighting game by Jade Studio for Tencent Games. The game's first Beta build was available since 2011 in China via digital download. Game's development was paused since 2014 and everything points towards the game was abandoned by 2019 or before. A beat' em up spin-off titled Tian Tian Xuan Dou was released in 2014, but its service was discontinued too in the latter years.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fighting game developed by San Francisco-based game developer nWay, featuring characters from the Power Rangers franchise. It was released digitally for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on March 26, 2019, for PlayStation 4 on April 2, 2019, for Microsoft Windows on September 24, 2019, and for Stadia on June 1, 2020. Limited Run Games released a standard physical version on the Switch and PlayStation 4 alongside a more expensive Mega Edition in November 2019. A Super Edition containing all previous downloadable content was released digitally in May 2021 and physically in August 2021.
