Rajasthan is a state in northwestern India. It covers 342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4 per cent of India's total geographical area. It is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh largest by population. It is on India's northwestern side,where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west,along the Sutlej-Indus River valley. It is bordered by five other Indian states:Punjab to the north;Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast;Madhya Pradesh to the southeast;and Gujarat to the southwest. Its geographical location is 23°.3' to 30°.12' North latitude and 69°.30' to 78°.17' East longitude,with the Tropic of Cancer passing through its southernmost tip.

Rao Bahadur and Rai Bahadur,abbreviatedR.B.,was a title of honour bestowed during British rule in India to individuals for outstanding service or acts of public welfare to the Empire. From 1911,the title was accompanied by a medal called a Title Badge. Translated,Rao means "King",and Bahadur means "Brave". Bestowed mainly on Hindus,the equivalent title for Muslim and Parsi subjects was Khan Bahadur. For Sikhs it was Sardar Bahadur.

Rai Bahadur Tirath Singh Bakshi joined the United Province Police Force during the British Raj and was born between 1850 and 1904 later became Deputy Inspector General of Police of the state.
Faridkot State was a self-governing princely state of Punjab ruled by Brar Jats outside British India during the British Raj period in the Indian sub-continent until Indian independence. The state was located in the south of the erstwhile Ferozepore district during the British period. The former state had an area of around 1649.82 square kilometres. It population in 1941 was around 199,000 thousand. The state's rulers had cordial relations with the British.
Bikaner State was a princely state in the Rajputana from 1465 to 1947. The founder of the state,Rao Bika,was the eldest son of Rao Jodha,ruler of Jodhpur. Rao Bika chose to build his own kingdom instead of inheriting his father's. Bika defeated the Jat clans of Jangladesh along with his uncle Rao Kandhal and his adviser Vikramji Rajpurohit and founded his own kingdom. Its capital was the city of Bikaner in the northern area of present-day Rajasthan State in India. Karni Mata has been designated as the kuldevi of the royal family of Bikaner.
General elections were held in British India in September 1930. They were boycotted by the Indian National Congress and marked by public apathy. The newly elected Central Legislative Assembly met for the first time on 14 January 1931.

The 1911 Delhi Durbar was held in December 1911 following the coronation in London in June of that year of King George V and Queen Mary. The King and Queen travelled to Delhi for the Durbar. For the occasion,the statutory limits of the membership of the Order of the Star of India and the Order of the Indian Empire were increased and many appointments were made to these and other orders. These honours were published in a supplement to the London Gazette dated 8 December 1911.
